Don't underestimate welfare/alimony/child support. Sure, she is most likely in an unconscionable amount of debt, but she is also likely getting paid a ton of money to do the "hardest job in the world" (which is playing with kids and basic survival... apparently). State assistance, anything coming in under the table (like undeclared family assistance, or cash-only jobs in the black/grey market, etc.). Hell, she probably makes more than me and I have a job that makes more than the median household income in my area (I'm middle class and single, which means I'm upper middle class with no obligations).
The father(s) probably bear the brunt of her parasitism, but I still feel like a sucker for paying taxes to support this bullshit.
