When ever I read stories like this where the guy came out the other side and won, I think, "what about the other poor bastards that weren't so lucky or prepared?"

Most men in that situation would have been thrown into the meat grinder along with the dog and no one would care whether there was even a chance that he was innocent and the victim.

Call me paranoid, but I have every primary room in my house wired up with 8MP 4k cameras WITH audio. No internet access to it, it's completely contained and the server is in a completely inconspicuous room behind a custom made secret door bookshelf. Obviously anyone can see the dome cameras around my house if they're observant enough, but nobody will know where the control room is.
