One of the dumbest mistakes I made out of college, was to take a job that was up to 80hrs a week on salary. That's free hours to the company.
[β]kasper13871 points72 points73 points 8 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link
I worked 80-90+ hours a week on an HBO show. They fudge all their numbers and make you say you worked (less)hours than you did. They all do this and no one does anything about it because they all want to be union and if you complain, you're gone(it's like a cult). No matter how many hours you work you're going to get whatever they want to give you. It feels like you're making good money but when you do the math, 12 dollars an hour and no benefits. If you manage to get union, enjoy paying all those dues(both financially, mentally and you're probably going to have to suck someones dick.)

This is one of the reasons I got out of acting. I was fortunate to be trained well in the craft by old school conservatory NCY/London but that doesn't mean shit to the game that is the Entertainment Industry. You spend years busting your ass doing free but high quality work and even then it won't matter. As long as a producer or casting director can get a blow job or a quick nut by people who are easily minipulated, they will always be cast, regardless of their talent level. Even when you do find work with a decent studio, you'll still get the shaft.

Every time someone gets outed in hollyweird I just laugh. Like really? That's what they have been about since they all ran away from Edison in the 20's. I worked with Travolta(here comes the Scientologist police), that dude is the biggest pervert fuck I've seen and that's only because I never met Kevin Spacey. He has money and handlers to do everything for him. They had to physically keep him away from people. He had a drug party and invited a 13y old boy. I know one of the actors from "stranger things" that dude has the biggest coke habbit ever, I'm pretty sure he got busted with it on a plane too but someone took the fall for him. He was banging anything that moved. That motherfucker was so stupid when he came over for dinner he couldn't figure out how to get WiFi on his Iphone. I could keep going all day. They are also all judgmental fuck heads and back stabbers. It's like a big cock sucking party but nobody wants to look up. I couldn't take it myself. I could feel it changing me. The manipulation was too much. I'm male and I've got women grabbing my ass and shit but if you look at them wrong forget about it. The whole "metoo" shit coming out of hollywood of all places is bullshit. It's a power grab being done by unscrupulous whores. They wanted to be in that business and that is the price they all pay for it.
The only way you'll get into the business and be treated decently is if you're someones kid. It's like nobility with them. Some of them will even go so far as to change their names so you don't realize how many of these motherfuckers are related.

Dude, if you got time, I'd love more stories like that. I genuinely believe that those that win/have won Oscars, are all tied to pedos or sex rings and paid the ultimate price just to win that award. JLAW is a perfect example.
What blows my mind (well at first but I'm so numb to it now) is that the biggest "energy" that moves that industry is abuse. If someone can make big bucks on you, they'll do anything they can to keep you like cattle that just keeps milking for everyone else but you. They'll use any tactic they can -threats, blackmail, ect. just to keep you "on the plantation". Straight prison rules and they don't give a fuck how they break you. If they want to, they will. That's how actors, artists and performers get stuck and are force to play the game or risk destroying everything that was created.

I worked in Hair and make up there's almost nothing I haven't seen or heard. They talk like you don't exist when they are getting made pretty. I met Katie Holmes doing a pilot show. I felt so bad for her. I know she may have did it to herself by even talking to those crazy fucks but you just knew that show was never going to get picked up. I talk to the director about Bukowski because I'm a huge fan and he did a documentary on him. I could tell I was the first decent conversation he had in fucking forever.
[β]ChantingMonk6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
What's the worst you've ever heard by someone you were working on? P.S. hair/makeup in my experience are the most down to earth and professional people in the industry I have worked with.
[β]kasper13811 points12 points13 points 8 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
I can also tell you that Corey Feldman is no joke. He's probably the best bet to get most of these fucking people. His friend died because of them. Corey Haim was probably one of the nicest people in the industry and they fucked him and twisted him into what he became, his story is sad as fuck. Also the idea of sexual predator or pay to play is not exclusive to men by any stretch of the imagination.
[β]kasper1388 points9 points10 points 8 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link
They are fucked up too in their own ways lol but they are like the hired help. They aren't production so they are on their own plantation. They do a lot of bf/gf and husband/wife swapping type shit.
I knew about Kevin Spacey before anything. Like that was the first thing I was ever told. Do not work or go near Kevin Spacey under any condition. The next would be Travolta. They would have to change scheduling based upon what his dick wanted that day. Also they hired a teacher for the young male actor. At first it was a man but he "didn't like it" so they got him a woman. I know he liked her as a teacher(she was married). How do I know you ask? Because she tried to fuck me. You can probably figure out the rest for yourself. You'd know the actor I'm speaking of as Cyclops.

[β]kasper1382 points3 points4 points 8 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
I did a lot of that too! They are all psychopaths. They are almost like their own type of people. That's why they make such great actors too. You'd think I'm talking about the ones who you see on the screen, no. I'm talking about the ones behind the screen pushing the buttons. If you don't play the reindeer games(think of the cool kids in high school) you get ostracized. They'll just fuck with you until you break and chances are you won't know why. Social networking has made it 200% worse. There's a reason(beyond the obvious) they are all on twitter etc. etc.
I would say something like 80-90% of the people I knew or met were just terrible fucking people. You wouldn't know it from the outside but that's how psychopaths work. Nothing is more important to them than how they appear to others. The facade must be kept up at all times. They'll have no problems throwing you under the bus or judging you in any and every way mainly because they are part of the club, they know they'll never get found out. So, you either become as twisted as the rest, you become destroyed like many have or you bail and get the fuck out while you're still breathing.
One need not look further than what they do to people in Scientology. I stayed at a house owned by Scientologist while working on a movie. They had a picture of Travolta on the wall like he was Jesus. They had book after book on brainwashing and manipulation.

But goy, you need to work yourself to death! How will you afford a lot of useless gadgets, status symbols and debt? Don't you want to impress people that you don't know and if you did, wouldn't even like?

Ahh, the system. What a danger the red pill is.
[β]themightysamiracle2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Is it the red pill or the blue pill? I thought the red pill would mean that those who took arenβt into trying to impress people with material things vs. blue is for those who live that way?
Or is it dangerous due to how blue pill people react when they realize youβre a red pill person and try to convince you that the new house, car, phone, etc. they purchased and went into deeper debt was the best choice?
[β]ghostsnnicesprites8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
No, youβre right. I meant that the red pill is dangerous to the system. Blue pill is continuing the system and just being a cog in the machine until you die.

Donβt you get paid every 2 weeks or on a schedule, and the payment is a certain percentage of your salary for how much you worked? Im not completely sure as Iβm still in college but Iβm pretty sure thatβs how it works. Cause 1 mil a month would be a salary of 12 mil a year. I would defiantly take that offer, work maybe 2 or 3 months or however long I can stand it, and never work again for the rest of my life doing what I want to do.

especially stupid at that age
He has an entire lifetime of earning years already signed away in a legal contract, and his earnings are now basically disincentivised at the exact time when he needs to start increasing his work output to build connections.
Really nothing good can come of that situation, although I suppose if this were 50 years ago he could count himself lucky to be divorced at 35 having learned the "dont marry" lesson much earlier in life than any of his peers. In the current era tho, his life is now effectively over

Just saw a post from a young married dude. He feels so blessed that his wife "lets" him play video games. Complete denial that she has him wrapped around her finger, just a matter of time. The fact he used "let" doesnt comprehend to him whats happening. Then it's too late.
[β]scottbrio4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Some people are weak af by nature. They transition from their parents and teachers telling them what they can and cannot do, to their wife and boss. Underneath it all they're scared shitless of life, and feel more comfortable having someone tell them what to do. It means you don't have to make any risky decisions yourself. Just play it safe. Take no chances.

I really can't blame men for being like this now, we're deep into the cultural reprogramming of men's instincts. My generation was the test subject and the current generation is the perfected result, expect it to be worse by the next one. We've successfully removed personality traits that have been classic indicators of success in men such as the "dark triad". Now is the dawning of the NWO.

Religious people do this a lot. Especially in the South in the United States. My girlfriend is from Tennessee and she knows people that are 28 (her age) that have been married, divorced, and remarried (to a different person, not the same person just to clear). She literally knows more of those idiots than friends of mine who are currently married for the first time.

I consider marriage to be a baseline IQ test. Get married? You're at the average. Which, given the average is comparable to utter retardation, isn't a strong baseline.

There's a Chinese(?) story about some monk talking to an emperor who wants to know the secret to an enlightened life.
Monk says "do good; don't do evil"
The emperor scoffs: "is that all? Any child of 4 can tell you that"
To which the monk replies "yes, but few men of 80 can practice it"
The moral being that logic, facts, all this wonderful information we post on r/mgtow doesn't actually have that much power to change our behavior. It has to sink in, to become wisdom instead of mere "knowledge." And that's much more difficult than most of us would like to believe.

People never researched anything in a library with something called a card catalog. To find out what the Duluth model of domestic violence is for example, possibly could take 4 hours of research. This assuming you where clueless. First find all books on domestic violence. Then read index of books to see if it mentions it in book. The find said chapter in book.
Hours of research has been now reduced to a few minutes. This has happened only over the last 10+ years.

Also, I find it funnier that later on he was asked (idr by whom or what show) if he supports MGTOW and he pretty much dissed us (the philosophy) and that we're all just bitter douchebags. He doesn't realize he's one of the guys that definitely helped shape what MGTOW is today (especially his older material). Him and Tom Lykes hate MGTOW.

The kicker.....even if the womem re marry....and mooch of someone else. They still get child support from him. Insane.
Took him two marriages to figure it out...and now fucks and chucks women.
It'll take him over a decade and a half to be free of paying child support to two ex's though.
