Except for the booze, that's pretty much keto.

Whiskey has no carbs.
[–]scruffyshoulders0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
This is true, and it's what I drink (no mixers, maybe ice) when on keto, but you also won't burn fat while alcohol is in your system. If a person is on keto to lose weight, this is something to stay conscious of.
[–]TheLastMgtow1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Correct. It will burn the alcohol first.
[–]MTP2148 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Alcohol is turned into sugar by the liver. Alcohol is hidden carbs.
[–]TheLastMgtow0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Im no specialist but a quick search resulted in this:
"Some sources claim that alcohol is converted into sugar by the liver. This is not true. Alcohol is converted to a number of intermediate substances (none of which is sugar), until it is eventually broken down to carbon dioxide and water."

It's not manly to kill yourself with your diet.

[–]scruffyshoulders1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago* (12 children) | Copy Link
Carbs are what cause heart disease and clogged or inflamed arteries. The fat in meat is actually very good for you. The reason fats were made out to be the bad guy is because of corn. Corn is cheep to grow, which is why it is in just about everything, and the actual problem is that processed foods are what's poisoning us. Before the invention of farming humans ate high fat diets. Eating high fat and low carb is not only healthier for you in the long term, it's actually how we ate the majority of our existence.
What you've thoughtlessly repeated is the exact opposite of what people should actually be doing. Just like how we were all lied to about the nature of women our entire lives, the things you think you know about our diet are also mainly falsehoods to push certain industries. Keto is the more natural and healthier way to live, and I don't say this out of advocacy, but only because science and history backs this up completely.
[–]livingstranger-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
Show us a study of a ketogenic diet reversing heart disease. Because as far as I know, only a high carb, low fat plant based diet has ever done that (thanks to the work of Dr Dean Ornish).
Check out blue zones, they are communities around the world where a higher than usual percentage of people are living to 100. They all share a plant based diet as a common factor (amongst other things). No high meat eating community will ever been a blue zone.

Watch "Fat Head"
[–]scruffyshoulders0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link
First off what "you know" is completely wrong. You're literally recommending a fad-diet. On top of that we already know a high carb low fat plant based diet is bad for you because most of those carbs turn into sugar, which is why diabetes is so prevalent in the West (though obviously the carbs from fresh plants aren't as bad as what's in processed food). Carbs are actually what causes all of our heart problems, not fat from food. Oh, and something conveniently not mentioned about those blue zones is that they also consume a heck of a lot of fat from meats, dairy, nuts, and oils. It also doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out a balanced diet will allow anyone to live long. Obviously people have been eating carbs for years in these areas (along with a heck of a lot of fat, which is the true secret to their success), and if they are part of a balanced diet it's not a big deal at all, but that still doesn't mean mean high carb diets are healthy in the slightest.

I don't think you actually read what I wrote.
There is no diet or drug or anything else for that matter that has reversed, actually reversed heart disease other that a high carb low fat plant based diet.
And it works long term as seen in blue zones around the world.

My god, you sound like a fucking advertisement.
What's funny is you demanded proof from me, which I provided, and yet this quack and their BS diet you are pushing have zero actual scientific proof of it actually doing what you claim. So yeah, let's see your peer-reviewed studies before I waste more time on this idiotic garbage.
[–]livingstranger-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I gave you the lead researcher's name, the outline of his work and what his team achieved.
People without fear of having their beliefs challenged would look into it with an open mind and scientific curiosity.
[–]scruffyshoulders0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
Gotcha, so neither you nor the “doctor” can provide proof for this quackery. Why is it that an open mind is necessary for your made up BS, but when opposing points are brought to you, you demand scientific evidence? Hypocrite much?
[–]livingstranger-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
'Open mind' as in, "alright, let's take a look". But it seems you're too frightened. Plus you come across as a right butthead.

I am an athlete, and I can see the positive effects. Been eating only plants for years.
You are a victim of people wanting to eat what tastes "good" and then inventing bullshit to justify it. Lol

[–]Klutzkerfuffle-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I don't take any supplements or pills at all. All natural and authentic right here.
[–]scruffyshoulders0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ah, so then you admit to being unhealthy because of your questionable diet choice. Gotcha.
[+]19NinetyNine-6 points-5 points-4 points 7 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link
lol what the fuck. MGTOW should promote a plant based diet. down vote me i dont care. ive done my research.
[–]fruguy4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
We're omnivores. Our natural diet is meat and dairy, fruit, nuts, grains and vegetables, in that order.
[–]19NinetyNine0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
you think 1000, or even as little as 200 years ago people were mostly eating MEAT?
meat has only recently become easily accessible man, it used to be a luxury. just ask your grandparents.
[–]NonflammableAlhambra4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
You're thinking far too short-term, biology doesn't change in a few generations like that. Farming is historically a very recent development, what do you think humans ate before that? If anything, the problem is the overuse of grains and sugar.
[–]SomeGhostingGuy2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Agree, at least in the northern climates for half of the year hunted meat was pretty much the only food source, maybe some nuts if found under snow.
Actually humans can even survive on a 100% meat diet and did so for years (shipwrecked whalers) or even many generations on basically carb free diets (Inuit as example)
Also the grains of the past have little to do with the bred grains we use today that are (over) optimised for industrial food production and coming with new problems like high gluten content (required by baking industry)
I prefer spelt for homemade bread, at least a breed that was not tinkered with much because of its low yield. And all the spelt I know are not hybrids, you basically can reseed it.
The only thing I avoid is sugar .. that shit is food for cancer.
[–]weag5l2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Eh... you know how 100,000 years ago there used to be a shit ton of large mammals in North America? Yeah we ate them all.
[–]weag5l4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Plant eaters do not live longer.
[–]TripOverNothing2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Could you elaborate? MGTOW "should" promote diet of "eat whatever the hell serves you" and it does.
[–]19NinetyNine0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
mgtow men should make informed decisions to benefit their health.
not to eat carcinogenic shit and act ignorant.
[–]TripOverNothing2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
I believe that's what "serves you" means. True though, if someone wants to be healthy, being ignorant about a diet is not the path to take.
Still this is a joke post.
Would you share a bit of what you researched and make a post about healthy eating? Don't get me wrong, I'm genuinely asking, not trying to get back at you.

i eat meat dude. just less. and i try to source it from small local farms because it is the ethical thing to do.
factory farming is real and cruel. i may sound like a hippie, i dont care lol. that's what is means to be MGTOW. :)
[–]19NinetyNine0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
im honestly too lazy to really type it all out right now but please take some time to into the western diet.
its high in processed foods, refined sugars, carbs and fats. it's appalling. corporations literally put profits before our health.
[–]TripOverNothing1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Cheers, I know those. I do cook with plenty of veggies, use stewia in place of sugar...
im honestly too lazy to really type it all out right now
That's a pity though.

[–]Mgtaoteching2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I’m a vegan, and while it makes me happy to see someone else here promoting a plant based diet, I disagree with your idea of what MGTOW should be.
[–]Klutzkerfuffle0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
You're right. They think it's manly to kill themselves with shit food.
[–]scruffyshoulders1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

[–]Klutzkerfuffle-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Don't wallow in shame. Use it to motivate yourself to get better.
Also, don't shoot the messenger because you don't like the message.✌️

[–]Klutzkerfuffle-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
That's pretty good.
I want you to have the best life and time possible man. Don't die early, and I hope that whatever diet you choose helps you do that.
[–]scruffyshoulders1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Says the person who just shamed men for not being "manly" over dietary choices. Get bent and take your womanly behaviour somewhere else. It's not welcome here.
