British blacks speak Ebonics too, but it's a different dialect because they learn it off the tv and the Internet. More remarkably, the present generation of British Indians, Pakistanis and low class whites speak Ebonics as well. It gives me cognitive dissonance when I see a lily white kid or a Sikh in a turban, neither of whom have probably ever lived in New York, speaking like they niggas.

The result of learning a new language while simultaneously being barred from getting any kind of formal education, as it was codified by law. They weren't even allowed to learn to read. Imagine what it must be like learning a new language and being forced to piece together sentences based on what you think certain words mean instead of what they actually mean. Imagine that happening from the early 1500s until the mid 1800s (and even longer in some instances). That's the difference.
