changing the wording of old anti pedo laws that say sex with a minor under the age of 17 is sex offender register offenses, to, if you have vaginal sex with a minor between the ages of 14-17 and are within 10years of age with the minor, its up to the judge of whether or not you deserve to be on the sex offender register. So if you have sex with a minor the natural way, and the minor is 14 and you are 23, you will still be persecuted under the law, but may not have to register as a sex offender to the public. But if you have anal or oral sex with the minor, its a registry event. if you have sex with a minor under the age of 14, its a registery event.
but the key phrase to pay attention to here is, by the digression of the judge. so if the judge wants you on the registery, you will be. if the judge doesn't, you won't. so if you are a 23 year old female teacher having sex with a 14 year old middle school boy, the judge may not put you on the register if you are sorry. but if the roles are reversed with a male teacher and a female student, well, chances are you will be registered.
ambiguity like that sickens me. Its clearly a loop hole for favoritism. because if they put a hard standard to anyone, they have to punish equally. So they leave open these statements that have no standard at all so that they can single out the groups they don't like.
edit:woops, re read that. the CURRENT laws state vaginal sex is ok to not register. they are trying to change it to any sex because LGBT community can't always have vaginal sex, so they always get registered. its normalizing having anal or oral intercourse is fine and doesn't mean you should register if you have sex with kids.
