Yeah...this was not my experience. I remember the ride home from school, making the turn onto our street and breathing a sigh of relief each time my Dad's truck wasn't in the driveway.

Yeah, this was not my experience either. As soon as we heard my dad's car door slamming, or the keys turning in the lock of the front door, my brother and I would shut off the TV and scramble to our rooms, so it would look like we were doing homework. Because, if he caught us watching TV, there'd be yelling, lecturing, and possibly punishment for not being productive members of society.

Despite that, I still love my dad very much, and talk to him often. As an adult, I understand his frustration towards his kids being bums. He also gets that bringing home his stress from work wasn't good either.

I could've had it much, much worse, but I also wonder what my childhood would have been like, if my dad had been happier when he came home.

Most of the criminals are from independent single moms. I am not saying that a couple will raise a good /sane kid but the chances are very high if raised bya single mom. kid may fall for crime or drugs if raised by single mom due to lack of discipline as traditional father's are the one who enforce descipline.

Since courts are biased and award child custody to women during divorce there is no data which shows that single dads raise troubled kids due to lack of single dads in society.

This is all fine and dandy, except a lot of times the kids are brainwashed against the father and the mother is literally the devil. In these situations, if the father wants to be in his kids lives he has to be perpetually tortured mentally and emotionally, until he finally realizes that they only way he can preserve his sanity is to walk away.

Ya, I'm a dad. I worked hard to raise him since he was 2 by myself. After 5 and 1/2, they really start feeling less like "babies" and start to develop normal personalities and oh boy it's a sensitive age. This is also the most exciting time to spend time with them if you're raising them right and happy with a couple serious hobbies together to create that bond.
