What I just can't understand is what those "gender studies" are about. It's not that hard you know. In humans an embryo will develop female, unless there is a Y chr present. In which case it'll develop male. There can be some different fenotypes but that's it. Why do you need a 4 years study for this?

The difference being there is some validity to sociology even if it’s a soft science. Gender studies would be like getting a degree in Freudian psychology. Even if it’s way off reality, maybe you could’ve passed by sixty years ago but no one nowadays gives a fuck. Is there any job gender studies helps with that a sociology or psychology degree wouldn’t be better for, which is a remarkable thing because those degrees are basically waivers that you made it through college and little else. Even if you solely did feminist nonsense those degrees are still better. (I’m not really shitting on those fields that hard, but anyone with a degree in them knows they are not a high employment field)

Except the entirety of Marxism is useless if it can never be implemented without, you know, killing a hundred million people. Even if his criticisms of capitalism are valid it is nothing more than feminism—-both say “what we are doing now is bad, let’s just live in a utopia!” The failure of communism may be a failure of humans instead of the concept but, guess what, we’re humans so that makes it a bit of an issue. As feminists have demonstrated it does not take a genius to point out the flaws in society, but their “plans” to fix things simply do not do accomplish anything.
Freud and Jung also have some serious quality to their works and everyone has a lot to learn from them. Unfortunately they are just purely intellectual interests without grounding in reality and so, for any practical concerns, are almost entirely useless. Saying there's nothing to learn from Marx because you assume Communism can never be implemented is a big leap on two fronts.
Firstly Marx body of works was a critique of capitalism. And about that he's right. His suggested solution cannot be implemented in the current paradigm. That doesn't mean never though. Also consider that Epicureanism was extremely successful. Effectively communes which are a form of Communism are extremely successful. They only work on a small scale.
"Everyone has a lot to learn from them" and "they are purely intellectual interests without ground in reality" are mutually exclusive. Your post has turned into word salad.

Have a look into the death toll of Capitalism. Start with a cursory Google search. It seems you conflate all violence that happens involving Communist societies is at the feet of Communism. Do you apply the same filter to all the violence that happens involving Capitalist societies? Just one current example, would you consider the opioid epidemic a consequence of capitalism?

Don't get me wrong. I'm not pro-Communist. I think the Norwegian system is close but applying Georgist tax and dividend policy would make it optimal. But Marx's works are important.
I assume Marxism cannot be implemented because every attempt to do so has failed spectacularly, plain and simple. He can critique all he wants. We can also critique human greed, lust, stupidity, ignorance, etc. and they are valid complaints---and you can propose solutions but, guess what, they will not be useful in any sense outside of the intellectual because those issues are axiomatic to mankind. This is also why communism fails: as an intellectual exercise it may makes sense, but as a real solution it does not, because as we have seen any attempt to create a communist society has been marred by these axiomatic traits of mankind. There are scientific theories that hold up perfectly under theory and mathematics, but if all experiments fail it is not a true reflection of what is possible in reality. This is the core tenet of science.
Those concepts are not in any way mutually exclusive. I even explained this to you with examples from Jung and Freud. They gave us new paradigms of thinking about the world but, by and large, they are wrong. That is not how mankind works in reality even if it makes sense as a hypothesis on paper. We can learn from Marxism but, yes, its actual application to reality is awful. From an academic and intellectual perspective, sure, you can learn some things. But from a practical, real world perspective, no. Epicurean communes were successful, ok...and you said the problem with this argument yourself, these only work on a small scale. Me and some of my friends could all chip in, buy a mansion, and co-exist under one roof. If that mansion became big enough to house the world population then things would be different. This is actually a lovely counterpoint to communism that you yourself have made. I assume you have had a roommate before, probably one that started as a friend. I assume you have also butted heads with your roommate on being clean, taking out the trash, playing his music too loud, whatever. And that is your FRIEND.
I did not say Marx is responsible for the corruption of his ideas. But I am exactly right in saying that he is responsible for their deaths because, yes, those were his ideas. That is how responsibility works. If I declare war on another country and my soldiers rape and pillage a city then I am responsible even if I did not do it or want them to do it. The actions would not have taken place without my initial step. This is what we call "consequences" and Marx was fully aware there would be no peaceful revolution where everyone held hands and agreed to share everything.
If capitalism is responsible for more carnage than communism it is because every attempt at communism has failed in a short and spectacular fashion. Meanwhile capitalism has spread throughout the world so, yes, capitalism will have killed more people because...the population it consists of is an order of magnitude higher. Communism has failed so hard that it decimates the population and wipes out the economy real quick in the grand scheme of things. You can't kill people who are already dead you know. It fails so hard that the country HAS to transition out of it to survive, so the death toll is limited by the amount of people it can affect before the experiment is urgently aborted. Meanwhile despite all of capitalism's flaws we have achieved unprecedented prosperity throughout the world. Sweden of 1960 was worse than third world countries are today, if you want a perspective on how fast society has progressed under capitalism and modern ideals.
The opioid epidemic is a consequence of capitalism, yes---on a more fundamental level the reason for the opioid epidemic is due to human greed and hedonism. While obviously this is the same fundamental reason communism fails, capitalism fails less. That is the entire point. We are apes that have far surpassed anything that has ever existed on this world (that we are aware of at least). We are about ten thousand years off from the time we went around hunting and gathering. There is no system that is going to work for us because of our axiomatic flaws.
In this case capitalism is the lesser of two evils, because even if it caused the opioid epidemic it also brought up IPhones and the internet. Communism brought up the Great Leap Forward and gulags. Pretending that there is some utopia-esque solution that is actually plausible is a joke. All we can do is damage control on our bestial nature. The reason that capitalism works is because it takes the reality of human nature and twists it to our advantage. It takes our greed and stupidity and uses that as its foundation for a system that, while imperfect, actually functions. The reason that communism fails is that it denies human nature and tries to use a non-existent ideal as its foundation. A statue made of gold is prettier than a statue made of steel, but that statue of gold isn't going to last long even if you think it looks really really cool
If you want my perspective on what will "work for society", if we reach a technological point of automation where work becomes irrelevant then communism could function in a very broad sense, since you have elevated the worker class to the same level as the rulers. But due to our axiomatic problems we will probably become worse off when that happens. There have been times I take months between jobs because I have the money, and when I first start it I have all these notions of the great things I'm going to do with my free time. I become a lazy blob that does nothing instead. When I am forced to work I am actually productive, go to the gym more, read more, etc. Probably going to be more of a Wall-E situation with rampant obesity and laziness.

Anyway I was a kid with no right of vote. In the case of Macedonia it was either that or join a war against our brother nations, and even then people were bamboozled into voting for independence. The referendum question was do you want an indipendent state with the possibility of entering a Yugoslav confederation. Right now everybody I talk too that was an adult in the prewar era remembers it with fondness and is still whatthefucking about the collective madness and manipulation that led to the wars. Anyway, we're good now for brotherhood, but are still disunited as states and ruled over by kleptocrats.

I guess you love talking about things you don't understand. In Yugoslavia workers managed their own companies. It was called "samoupravljanje" or Titoism in the west. Read up about it. It was a great system and everyone was prosperous.
We did have holes in our society, the most obvious one being the classic mistake of relying on one man everybody adored and admired as a unifying force, that being Tito, and when he gave up the ghost, his pupils tried to emulate and conserve his ideas, while the world was changing around them. Also trying to keep face while they grossly mismanaged things took them a bit into debt(But not as much as let's say today's "developed" countries are into debt), while also allowing nationalism to fester and criminals to prosper. Also what followed was a classic betrayal in allowing foreign agents to work inside the nation to undermine national security, fan nationalistic ideas and let lose the dogs of war. Local lords took over, criminals ran rampart, there was a massive pillage of industrial resources. Some became rich overnight. So we had the nightmarish 90s. There's a BBC documentary on yt, The Death of Yugoslavia. While it is westernly biased, it is quite informative.

You said it yourself, if your country’s policy is incapable of surviving for longer than one man’s reign it is not valid. If Trump died the US would hardly collapse. Try to sugarcoat it you all you want and look through rose-tinted glasses, blame capitalism and foreign interference like they taught you, but your country managing a couple decades of overt success before its complete and utter collapse is not something to be glorified. You talk about western biases but ignore the fact your own country is greatly biased in its interpretation where it will naturally paint itself as the good guy and victims.
All countries in the global theater face the same issues/sabotage from opponents that you have described, the difference is that ones with a solid foundation are able to survive them and in some cases prosper against them. Capitalism has largely succeeded in this, every implementation of communism has collapsed on itself within decades when the rot has eaten it from the inside. Managing to last a while before all resources are depleted and the death toll becomes unsustainable is not an accomplishment.
If a system can not exist in reality against its opposition, even if it is theoretically perfect it doesn’t matter. String theory is beautiful and explains things but we’ve seen core tenets of it fail in experiments. You can appreciate it and learn from it but if it fails to meet reality then, simply, it is wrong. This is the most fundamental concept of science and rationality.
Man, isn’t it just crazy how many excuses you can come up for the fact almost all capitalist nations have thrived and all communist nations have fallen or done terribly? Do you think capitalist countries have not also faced the exact same issues your country faced without utterly collapsing? I’m sure you are familiar with the Cold War, the one capitalists won when communism failed so hard they weren’t able to keep up the facade of prosperity any longer because their policies, you know, led to the deaths of millions of poor, innocent citizens. How about that “Great Leap Forward”? If China and Russia were decimated by communism, Yugoslavia had no chance one way or another.
And even if their failures were the result of capitalist interference and not the dictators causing it themselves, that’s the world—-you can wish it was a utopia and say communism would work in a perfect society but guess what, it isn’t, and if the concept cannot function in reality it is absolutely useless. It’s like creating an untestable scientific hypothesis—-even worse, it has been tested many times and failed every time but people like you still think if we keep trying we will get a new result. Yet here capitalist countries are chugging away over the centuries. Makes you think.

We were not fighting in the Cold War, have nothing to do with millions of deaths and were a prosperous and free socialist country. Free thought was not banned in the later eras. The 60s, 70s and 80s were the golden years, we were open to both western and eastern culture and were welcome in both the east and west. We were the leaders of the non aligned countries which didn’t want any Cold War nonsense. It wasn’t the fall of communism(or rather socialism). Nationalism is what got us in our first test of rough waters. I kinda blame the prosperity, as the boomer generation never knew hardship and they were kind of doted on and unready for harsh realities. Childish naive minds, easily manipulated.
The significant downside of the end of the Cold War for us is that we became collateral damage. We lost the significance of a non aligned country, and now we were up for grabs. They destroyed our country and unity(with the help of traitors and naive boomers) so now they recolonized us cause we are too weak to fight back.

Best day of my life.
She turned in her 2 weeks a few days later and complained that I brainwashed women into working for the patriarchy. She successfully worked 3 of those 14 days before she no-called.

When it comes to these bullshit majors like gender or race studies and some other garbage there is a very simple distribution of "careers":
A very small number of graduates end up teaching this nonsense the next generation of hapless morons
A certain percentage (especially minorities, women and nearly all minority women) go into random corps as diversity hires to fill bullshit PC enforcement positions in HR departments to fill quotas and virtue signal. Pretty much all major companies I have worked for have had HR departments full of these people and nearly all of them were insufferable, self important cunts.
All the rest just end up unemployed or working shitty unskilled labor jobs for minimum wage and complaining about student loan debt.

The only person I've known to do gender studies at undergrad also told me being disowned by my entire family for being born white was cool, because y'know, "cis white male". I've got the "white privelege" . (I have experienced no such thing)
