That pyramid is going to collapse the minute a real male birth control (i.e. Vasalgel) hits the market. The effect of that will be similar to the Pill introduced around 60 years ago. The first thing to go will be the baby-trapping of the high earing men (i.e. athletes, actors, businessmen and other celebrities). Then, the state marriage scam will collapse to be replaced by individually-negotiated contracts. I hope it happens in the next ten years or so because nothing in existence is going to be more fun to watch than the deafening shrieks of the females realizing what the REAL equality is.

This makes me so mad. Guys need the choice to financially opt out of an unwanted pregnancy.

I got tricked into having a child at barely twenty years of age. She disappeared and came back after three months and said, "guess what?".

By this time she was at least three and a half months pregnant and no doctor would touch that unless there was threat to life for the mother.

How I wish it worked is like this:

If a guy doesn't want a baby and opts out, he doesn't have to pay, but relinquishes rights of fatherhood.
Govt steps in and pays a smaller sum than would have been paid by the father. Maybe 60%, according to his salary.
Incidence of unwanted pregnancy and single mums doing it tough declines as they can't just force ex's to support them and Govt subsidy is a lower amount.
If the dad opts in, he is automatically granted equal parent status with the mother and arrangements for shared custody at made.

I'm sure there are flaws with my idea, but I reckon it's better than what we currently have.

And you can’t even count on them to carry the child for 9 months for then giving her to your custody even if you pay for all expenses. They never take responsibility neither acknowledge their lack of it.
