My uncle was over 60 and started having chest pains and shortness of breath. It wasn't a heart attack. After seeing several physicians, he ended up with a female. Her recommendation was castration. I'm not making this up. Pains in his chest could be cured by castration. Maybe she thought sperm count was too high. Anyway, he went to a physician in a large city about 90 minutes away and was told he had developed an allergy that really tore him up when he mowed. He bought a filter mask and mowed happily for many more years, with his testicles.

You know the biggest issue with female doctors?

It's a 3 part issue - 1. They get preference in schooling, with everything gynocentric, 2. they get preference in medical training, more gynocentricism to produce more female doctors, which means potential male doctors being pushed away, and then 3. they retire early, because stress and unsocial hours and not fucking serious about a career anyway.

Add to that the usual female issues of being cranky once a month and taking 'a few' years out of work for babies, and female doctors are quite a nightmare.

The British 'National Health' system, having discriminated against men, I mean having worked so hard to empowa da whamen, now finds itself with a serious shortage of doctors.

Weird how that works, huh?

My female eye doctor misdiagnosed me with a detached retina even though everything seemed fine. But I was rushed to an emergency eye surgery clinic and a Specialist flew in from Utah just for my case. He examines my eyes and everything is fine. The specialist was a super cool dude by the way, and he was pretty pissed off, I mean he had to go tell the surgery room to stand down, they were all prepped waiting for me, that is how serious all this shit went down because of a misdiagnosis. I'm glad that the specialist was a man.

My mother had chest pains. ER arrived, the doctor used portable EEG machine and declared that she's just tired, had too much to drink (it was day after Christmas) and will be fine. A dose of painkillers later mother goes to sleep.

Next night, same pains. Now instead of calling an ambulance brother took her to a hospital. A doctor just glanced at the EEG printout from the previous night and immediately sent her to ICU with heart attack diagnosis. Fortunately, it wasn't too late and she recovered fully.

Guess which doctor was female.

She was testing to see if your lower leg was neurovascularly intact. Important to check, as arteries and nerves can be damaged in trauma, resulting in ischaemia and death of your leg if it is not treated urgently by surgery. She must have been new ^_^

The UK must have significantly different standards of practice then. Especially multiple layers of stitches by a nurse. That is unheard of in the United States

I had a similar experience with a dislocated shoulder. The female MD signed some papers, but she didn’t know how to reduce a dislocated shoulder, because as a female MD, she had never done it before. To her credit, she deferred to the male nurse who had done it lots of times. Good thing he was there, because the MD’s didn’t know how to do the job.

Healthcare jobs have to be opened up to the men who can perform the job better. Period. The majority of jobs are labeled with a female title “nurse” just to keep qualified men out of the job. It costs consumers billions to sustain discriminatory hiring, because it keeps the most qualified people out and raises wages for the applicants who benefit from discrimination.

They are fucken useless...I went to the er room last week because my right cheek felt numb and the bitch just said to take ibuprofen. Told her she should send me to a specialist of she didn't know the problem. Dumb bitch referred me to physical therapy.

Lots of bad doctors out there in general that ruin people's lives. Lawsuits against them are rarely in the public eye. Throw emotional female quacks into the mix and you get a massive shit storm in an already chaotic and ignorant field.

I'm worried for that "doctors" (drug dealers) patients.

Was she trying to sense your pulse on that leg, below the knee ? Or on a wrist, neck etc ?

In a high stress / shock situation the adrenaline rush has an effect of constricting blood flow in the extremities, so not getting a pulse sensed on a wrist could be expected...

It actually makes sense if you think about it - this primal reflex is to prepare for a flight or fight scenario - and if you get a limb injured in the process - having the blood flow already constricted would prevent excessive blood loss - and if the blood loss indeed occurs - blood would be directed more toward the vital internal organs.

All the best healthcare professionals that have ever helped me the most (mental health counselling, physical therapy, difficult/embarrassing appointments) apart from ONE where I had a broken leg were all women that listened much more attentively than their male counterparts. Can't say I've had a similar experience to OP

Not to white knight OP. But I don't agree with you. I presume she was trying to find your pulse on the affected leg? Sometimes those arteries are lying deep and can't be felt. But there are other signs to see if your circulation of your leg is in danger: blue cold feet f.e. And if you were able to talk with her your blood loss can't have been that bad.

Furthermore you don't know how many hours she was up and running already. Patients can be SOB's a lot so her irritation might very well be understandable. Not to condone her outburst but she is a human being like you are.

So I don't think you're being fair OP.

If you are in America, your story is full of holes.

If your blood pressure is low enough that you don’t have a peripheral pulse You probably will not be fully conscious. And if that is to happen due to hypovolemia, you have to lose a lot of blood, like 1 to 2 L of the five in your body.
In the US, nurses don’t do sutures. It is outside our scope of practice. It’s very possible the woman that couldn’t find your pulse is probably the nurse and the one that stitched you up was probably the doctor.

Medical professionals always get a good laugh when our work is picked apart by people without even basic knowledge of medicine.
