if they just said that, it would be clear to everyone what they mean and no ambiguity. it's when they decide to lay the blame on "all men" that I find strange.

but it's clear - millennial women and the generation after millennials care so much about male looks, above everything else. in previous generations, looks weren't such a big deal. now it's all about looks. and they only want that top 10% or so. an average looking man to them = ugly.
