I suspect this perspective is common in women, particularly young women. They think attractive guys have different DNA.

It's also wrong.

We have a mountain of evidence showing female sexual attraction is jacked into male dominance hierarchies. Anecdotes are everywhere - eg: middle-class average guy putting on a suit and driving a porche, or vice versa. The DNA doesn't change, but the female response does. The female-version of this is makeup and a push-up bra.

I don't dispute that there is a male attractiveness factor, but it's only one factor in a complex web of attraction. Women cannot genuinely evaluate their feelings towards a man unless they observe said man in a social setting.
