Am I the only one who enjoys talking to men from other professions ? Like legit we spend so much time at work I am always curious about other dudes craft and the skillsets they had to develop to get good at their job.

I feel like generally as men talking about our work or passions is the best place to start to get to know each other . We ask about each others work to get a sense of each other while women ask about a mans work to see what you can buy her.

Just to be reasonable for a moment that pay range is way off. Half of all linemen make $64K/yr or less. It's still pretty good money (even compared to other trades) considering it didn't require investing any time or money into a college education.

Like I get the sentiment around the post, and agree, but people can get really reputable degrees from cheap state schools and end up starting off making 70k+ a year. Or you could have someone just get stuck in an apprenticeship forever and throw their back out at 45.

If you want to know who made a wise decision for their life it's probably a tie cuz I don't see her climbing poles anytime soon and my friends that climb poles and wanted to move farther along as electricians needed to get certified or continuing education still had to hit me up for help on their math.. basic Electronics shit.. not that working for the Utilities Company isn't a damn fine job

Pretty much everyone knows you don't have to graduate college to do all right in life. And you can do just as shitty as anyone else going either route.

I went to school for 6 years and then bailed so I could start building and flipping homes. Absolutely loved it the entire time and I wouldn't hesitate to make the same choices again. I don't give a fuck about money or what other people think they know because they got an education or they didn't.. although I've managed to do just fine in both realms as far as I'm concerned.

If you can't get a 4 year degree chances are you are pretty stupid. If you get one from a community college your debt is probably negligible. Also, when did college become about money? College is about learning to think and becoming a better person. Education is the lifeblood of a democratic society. You need an informed citizenry to make informed choices. I don't think MGTOW is supposed to be about the glory of uneducated laborers. Given that this sub has attached itself to some reactionary conservative political ideology, I fully expect to be buried in downvotes but somebody has to call this shit out.
