I hear that all the fucking time, and I can't think of any time that I heard it where the woman was actually the "better" of the two. Usually she's a selfish POS responsible for ruining the relationship either as much as he is if not more so. And still after the breakup, her friend will always be "he doesn't deserve you!" or more often "you're better without him!"

But that kind of reflects how by default the man is usually the first person who's blamed when things go wrong in a relationship. Unless everyone knows the woman's a bitch, from what I've witnessed people tend to default to "what did he do wrong?"
