We trash talk because it doesn’t have to be this way. There are so many advantages to having a two-person household, provided both persons are sane, rational, and make fair compromises in furtherance of the partnership.

But because so many women CHOOSE to be unreasonable, many men are forced to choose to live alone. This means for those of us who want kids (not me) we can’t raise our kids traditionally. We can’t divide chores and earnings to maximize our benefits. Some of us would love to have another person contributing financially. Others would like to handle the earning and let someone else take care of the household.

We get lonely. We get horny. We’d like to have someone to talk to and share important moments of our lives with. But many of us choose not to do so because the price of being in a relationship is too damned high.

Many (maybe even most) of us here don’t have a terribly hard time getting laid. Many have been in long term relationships with women. The incels are the exception and not the rule here. Many incels would gladly pay the emotional and financial price to be in a relationship but there are no buyers for what they are selling.

Why do we talk so much shit? Because women can’t straighten the fuck up and act like responsible adults who can bring fulfillment to our lives outside of the bedroom.

I don't think you really want an answer, but what the hell.

If you walk into an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, you are very likely to hear a lot, if not a majority, of the people in that meeting talk about alcohol. Their experience with it, what had happened to them as a result of imbibing, what their use of alcohol took from them, and so on. You might also hear them tell funny, sad, or ironic stories about whay happened to others around then because of alcohol. You'll hear them talk about how sometimes they wonder if maybe they could drink without all that other shit happening to them. And then, you'll hear them say that is why they keep coming back into the rooms, so they can hear the stories from newcomers and be reminded that they are no different, just recovered.

In much the same way, this sub works similar magic -- if you will. Are there low effort, low quality shit posts? Absolutely. Are there refugees in here from other subs that got shut down or quarantined (aka censored). Absolutely. Nothing is static. AA ain't what it used to be, either. But it still works.

You claim that the "happily married" types "aren't that rare". Statistics, both divorce stats and stats on infidelity, belies the faith inherent in your statement. I know plenty of "happily" married types, and frankly, they don't look real happy. Even amongst the "old" married types, I see an awful lot of husbands looking for a reason to get out of the house and wives anxious to get them out. I know very few married people, male or female, who when asked about marriage, enthusiastically recommend it. But, hey, your mileage may vary.

As others have said, your OP used blame, shame, and frame, so I doubt you really WANT an answer, but here you go. The tl;dr to this sub is simply this: We're here for the guys who have had enough, and need reminders for why it won't improve if they go back on the plantation.

Listen, we already go our own ways in real life. We don’t need to broadcast every single one of our daily activities in this sub.

Just because you dont see us flaunting our possessions and achievements here doesn’t mean we do not have those things already.
