I've been MGTOW for several years now, even before I knew it was "a thing". The truth is: I do not wish bad things on any woman, not even the ex-wife. I hope they can find a way to happiness, just as long as it doesn't involve me. I would not trade my freedom or independence again for anything. It is my most prized possession. As long as I go my own way, their "standards" and other antics mean nothing to me. It's a sort of detente: leave me to my space and I'll leave them to theirs.

Lots of girls still think playing video games, watching cartoons, eating things like string cheese is all kid shit that a grown man has absolutely no business doing. I remember one of my first dates I brought her over and she wanted to go through my fridge. I was like, sure whatever, she asked "what the hell are these?!" and she showed me apples that were cut up and bags. She thought that was meant for kids and a man shouldn't be eating kid shit.

It is just nice being able to live the life you want to live and not have to change for someone else. Having that tether on your life cut is so freeing. I no longer have any anxiety about doing things like going to a decent restaurant or going to a movie theater alone.
