Besides the obvious, what really grinds my gears about this is if it was the other way around, he'd be labeled as the absolute worst person in the world. There would be articles about this poor woman being left by her selfish husband.

But in her case, she'll get loads of support and people telling her she needs to do what's best for her and that she's done all she's can. And the real kicker, that if he really loved her, he wouldn't hold her down and he should allow her to go live her best life free of any obligations to him.

I did however see the opposite because of car crash. The woman became like a vegetable. He got out without to much injuries. After a year he left her. The were both still young below 30. She died a year afterwards.
