Out to dinner last night at a place I frequent, and after dinner, ended up chatting with the hostess, or whatever you call her. About 30, kind of cute in a boyish way, and in short order, I learn that she's a single mother, has a daughter, the daughter is kind of bossy and obnoxious, and Mom is encouraging this -- thinks it's great. She's 4.

So, let me get this straight -- you're attempting to raise a daughter, alone, on what you make as a server, basically, at a restaurant. Whoever Dad is, he's long gone, and you are so focused on this "You go, girl" shit that you don't realize that the reason you're alone may well be what you're encouraging your daughter to be.
