The owner of this place does not understand gender dynamics.

Typically, men are expected to approach women. Most of the time women will not approach men, but instead will put themselves in the position to be approached by men. So they go to places where men are.

Since no man with a spine would willingly go to that restaurant, women looking for men with spines probably wouldn't go either. With that, they greatly limit their clientele.
