It's a shame that men are not encouraged to have a breadth of skills anymore. Instead, we're pushed to specialize (in a career).

Only specializing makes you weak and dependent on others for trivial matters. It makes you spend more money to compensate for your shortfall. And it discourages exploration of all the things life has to offer.

I've noticed MGTOWs and DIYers really have a lot in common, this thread consolidates this perception. It's pretty natural actually, I don't want to depend on a woman to live my life, and neither on people that provide basic services I would be better knowing how to do it myself, save the money, and pick up practical skills, why the hell not?

There's no way I'm going to have any more kids. I've got three adult sons and no inclination to give my remaining time on earth, labour and assets to another woman. The first wife still isn't fully paid off. The only thing that could make me consider doing it again would be to raise a young man like the boy in the picture. Books on the wall, a model aeroplane, paying attention to a skilful task, and he's not a fat lump like most kids nowadays. A properly raised kid is evidence of a woman doing her job right, not slutting around at work with the kids in childcare. Don't tell me it wasn't better in the old days.
