While much lower liquidity assets such as mortgages help buoy their balance sheets, these low liquidity assets usually tank in value during a crisis leaving a bank with just pennies on the dollar in terms of deposits. Getting your head around how assets are structured in terms of demand during a crisis is essential for wealth preservation. Exter's Pyramid is a great example of the liquidity spectrum in finacial assets that is typical during a financial crisis.

My exgf added me to her car insurance without my consent and asked me if I wanted to be added to her workplace health insurance like 3 times. I still have a large network of friends and family, so if I don’t want to be alone, I call them up, and we’ll play a video game, go for a coffee, a house visit, or a bite to eat.
Being “alone” is better than constantly having to worry about if a girlfriend or wife is secretly crushing on, or fucking someone else.
It’s also better than being legally locked into a marriage, where you’re fucked if you’re married or if you leave. I wouldn’t have it any other way except “alone” and FREE.
