How much would he have been awarded in the breakup had she been the one who'd cheated, though? Is there any semblance of fairness in the inverse? Or does it just seem OK to ask for half because they're playing with house (his) money? They both made emotional investments, and supported each other over the course of the marriage. That's a somewhat fundamental part of marriage. Taxing the more successful partner in the event of a breakup honestly seems a bit strange in the era of gender equality.

Just feels like maybe there should be a cap on how thoroughly you can rob a person when you get tired of their shit. Otherwise, it sort of incentivizes unsavory types to roll the richest MFer out there. Call me old fashioned, but I feel like the incentive should be to marry someone you truly love, and wanna spend your life with.
