Yes! Don't become a target for scammers. There are crooks out there with no ethics whatsoever who will do anything to get their filthy hands on your money. I've heard stories about lottery winners getting kidnapped and forced to transfer huge amounts of money. I live in a modest apartment. No one knows how much money I really have. If I go on a vacation, I don't post pictures on social media. My neighbors think I've been visiting Minnesota when I'm really gallivanting across Europe and Asia.

100 times this. Split with my ex a couple of years ago. I'm not rich but I choose not to advertise the fact I own my own place and I'm building my savings. I drive a car that's over a decade old and I'm happy with it. Ex took her buy out and blew it on a vehicle that was more than she needed and a few expensive trips away.
