The mistake that nice guys make is assuming that, because they act in good faith, that means others will act towards them in good faith as well.

I don't usually disagree with fellow MGTOWs, but I'd like to clarify something which I feel was misunderstood.

The "nice guys" that get demonized are the ones who expect females to open their legs to them just for being nice and get butthurt when they don't. Those cucks deserve the hate they get.

Having said that, nothing wrong with being a good human being and doing things in good faith. I don't expect a thanks, or anything for being kind..that's the difference between these pretend "nice guys" and genuinely good people.

However, it is unfortunate as it is true that a ‘nice guy’ is very resistant to anything but harsh criticism (concerning their behavior and naïveté towards women) from other males.

There is nothing gentle about swallowing the red pill, nothing nice about the true nature of women.

And nothing good will come from believing in the delusion, as it’s most likely conclusion is the destruction of everything that man had.

/r/niceguys tries to find those "nice" guys who are actually crappy people making covert contracts and then getting pissed when the other person doesn't hold up their end of the covert contract. I get making fun of those.

But I notice a lot of what gets mocked there sound like actual decent people trying to be decent people and confused/heartbroken at the reaction. The ones that kept trying to be what women said they wanted and were rejected. Or guys who try to date under the old chivalrous model. People can't tell the difference at first between nice guys and "niceguys" to they've stopped trying and punt all nice to the curb.

Since dudes trying to be pleasant just get lumped in with the "niceguys" or "the patriarchy" there isn't really an incentive to be nice to women at all.

I think this is something of a societal/cultural lagging indicator. The romance industry keeps pushing the old, dead, chivalrous model and we just need to make sure that men are educated about how to woo women now. There just aren't many good models of this in movies/tv. Love, romance, happily ever after narratives need to die out and get replaced with the total indifference to women and getting laid that the modern society demands.

Most guys and people in general are 'nice'. As in, not complete assholes.

The problem with "nice guys" is the psychologically damaged type that first, aren't nice, and second, think they're entitled to something.

It's the same problem as incels. Someone not getting laid isn't the issue, that's unfortunate, but it's the incels who want to shoot up a school or get revenge on Chad and Stacey they've built up in their minds.

It's a sense of entitlement, which is quite a womanly way to view things.

Again, being nice isn't a problem, it's a default.

It's when the "nice" person by default assumes that anyone getting laid "must" be an asshole, and that their "niceness" is holding them back.

I read a book about manipulators, the thing about being a nice guy is alot of us get a rush a good feeling. That in itself is its own reward for being nice. Manipulators know nice people get this feeling so they will exploit you and say that the feeling of being nice is a fair exchange for what they get out of you. Ignore these people and do only things that you want to do. i do agree that being nice is a reward itself but dont let people use you or make you feel bad for being nice.

often times when women are older thats when they regret not getting with the genuine nice guys. Women know who those are , movies like the last American Virgin tell the nice guy story so well.

i think they demonize the nice guy for different reasons - for women it's obviously because they perceive of the nice guy as being entitled, i.e. trading niceness for the possibility of sex. for men i think it's a little more complex, of course, there are some who hate nice guys because they clog up the sexual marketplace, but i think for the majority of men, they demonize nice guys because that's exactly where most men begin their romantic lives, as nice guys who believed that if you treat women decently like fellow human beings, they'll reciprocate. they quickly learn the truth, and eventually grow up to see their "nice guy" period as a gigantic failure.

in short - women demonize nice guys because of entitlement, men demonize nice guys because of self hate.
