Sober from alcohol for 12 years. In the process of quitting smoking cigarettes (co-worker had a cancer scare), so doing patches and focusing on that. Do some cannabis on occasion (legal state). Drink my coffee black. Drink lots of water.

That's it.

None here. Drank for years and finally realized I hadn’t (more like couldn’t) not drink daily. I then learned what kind of poison it really is to the body and quit.

I gave up Alcohol and weed about the same time I gave up women...

all 3 were leading me to self destruction.

Though i do admit if weed was ever legal with no employment issues for me I might choose to consume that again, Alcohol and women are out for me for the remainder of my days though.

I don't drink alcohol. No tobacco nor hard drugs. But I'm addicted to Pepsi and coke. I'll get my last cups today and tomorrow I quit cold turkey. Caffeine withdrawal puts me down like shit I can't even look at sunlight cause my head hurts.

Never tried alcohol, no drugs, don’t smoke. It’s a lot easier to just never start. No booze means I will never be drunk, meaning I will never do something regrettable due to being drunk. That’s worth it to me.

Quit it all for health reasons. Made a huge difference. Once Im over the hump might treat myself

to the occasional shot or edible, but never will go back to partying. Want my head clear and body

strong. Found I cant have it both ways.

I never bought into the hype of drinking. Occasionally I drink a beer or ale for the taste but the worst feeling in the world is being tired or hungover. I've got family who have easily over $1000 of alcohol in their homes, it's a waste of money and just unhealthy, when I'm drinking I overeat and blow off working out, am I alone with this way of thinking?

I don't drink, and I hate alcohol really.

When I was younger in school I would drink because we all thought it was cool to do so, go to parties and get samshed, sit at the park with vodka and pass it around etc, but when i hit 19/20, I just stopped. I don't even entertain the idea of picking up a bottle of beer after work to crack open and drink.

Also, because I work in retail, I see roughly £5k worth of boose go through the checkout a week, and that's from a small convenient shop alone. I dread to think what larger supermarkets sell on a weekly basis.

You see how alcohol obsessed the general public are which is really sad on a general scale. I've also seen people stand in the queue at 10am in the morning, steaming in their faces, swinging a 4 pack of budweiser like it's the best thing going in their lives.

That alone is enough to put me off the alcohol.

Ultimately: I hate monetary bad habits.

Other reasons: My Father has/had some siblings that destroyed themselves through drugs & alcohol and I never wanted to be like them. They were the example I used for my much younger Sister when she asked me about my thoughts on drug use. "Would you rather be more like Mom & Dad, or <Aunt> & <Uncle>? They are the perfect example of people who think that they can 'handle it'"

I'm not condemning random internet people here. This was more of, I recognize obsessive tendencies in myself and if my genes carry the proclivity to develop addiction problems, then lets not even open that door.

40 years old don't drink cause poor judgment, smoke weed every day and love life I got 3 kids and never married 9 years I can retire and still have my pension all to me.

I have like every vice, drink too much, smoke, Gamble, eat whatever I want. The thing that has made me want to cut back on pretty much all those things is money. I haven’t been to a casino in awhile now, pretty sure I’m gonna quit smoking soon and as far as drinking and eating goes I try to just keep it st the house or house parties. Restaurants and bars just eat your bottom line. I’m debt free now and it’s almost addictive to watch your savings grow when you’re not spending it on stupid shit or in my case literally wasting it away. So that’s been a big thing for me. I’m on baby step 3 of Dave Ramsay’s plan and I’m hopping to be in my own place in 2-3 years with as little owing to a bank as possible.

I smoke weed, drink, and dip tobacco. I wish I never touched any of them, but I don’t have a problem with any of them bc I am mindful of how much and how often. I stay away from doing things that would make me likely to drink in excess.
