I think Stardusk just commented on this very phenomena in the last week or two.
I'm not sure that they really get much out of onlyfans unless it is in addition to camming or whatever. I think what they're paying for is the interaction.
They don't want to just see naked women - that is abundant and nearly free online. Certainly it is cheaper than what guys spend money at cam sites for.
They want the interactive component. They want to say something to a pretty girl who lets them see her naked, and have her say something back. That is something you can't get free online.
Now, onlyfans doesn't really offer that as far as I know (never used it), but I see that as more of an adjunct service. You pay the cam girl, and then you go buy her videos on onlyfans, and probably her used underwear wherever they go selling that.
They're basically trying to create a virtual relationship.
I have absolutely no respect for these guys.
I'm not sure why you would have respect for anybody you don't know, whether personally or by reputation.
I wouldn't really throw rocks at them either. They're desperate guys who probably have a lot of problems. When I was much younger I could have seen myself eventually going down that path, but fortunately this wasn't really a thing back in the late 80s / early 90s. I'd gotten past this stuff (in part due to luck) by the time it was a thing.
These guys really need somebody who cares about them to take them under their wing and help them to launch, but by the point that they're old enough to afford this garbage they're going to need a LOT of help. Nobody is going to do that, so most of them will probably continue to behave this way until they become increasingly desperate, and in occasional cases dangerous. Some of them will pull themselves up by their bootstraps, but this is probably not the norm.

Excellent analysis. They're caught in a trap and are reeling from their (often brutal) treatment by both women and society.
These men often don't have much experience with women and therefore fail to realize that they are ultimately 'barking up the wrong tree', so to speak.
They lack both the 'red pill' knowledge and necessary life experience to see that throwing money at women who don't find you attractive is a fool's errand. For them, this is perhaps their only chance to interact sexually with a real-life partner.

There's a word for this and I read some guys post a few months ago that kind of touched upon how this is one of those unfortunate side effects of raising a population that values their connection with streamers and such so intently . You get these people who develop a " relationship" with whoever the streamer and it can lead to a somewhat twisted kind of bond .
It's actually quite sad, to be so lonely that the only person or people you feel connected to are the ones who may speak to you from a screen after you send them some cash . Anyway I agree great analysis and it's an unfortunate really in the age of maximum socializing and increasingly dwindling real-world connection.

Sure, but consider the flip side of this. If it takes off it means that human women add little value in comparison to AI.
It would also drive the price down. The supply of fake women is essentially unlimited, which means that the cost will drop to next to nothing. When a fake woman is willing to give you a show for a nickel and talk to you for 36 hours without a bathroom break if that is what you're into, how will real women compete?
THOTs will quickly find that nobody is willing to give them more than a dime for an hour of their time.
Sex robots will likewise drive down the cost of physical sex, though those will always be more expensive since they're actually a tangible product. They're also harder to get right than a chatbot, but sooner or later sex bots will make women completely obsolete as companions. At that point women will have to offer some kind of genuine relationship just to be treated as an equal, and they'll never be placed on a pedestal...

And the real girls would be desperate enough for business that their costs would still come way down. Instead of competing for the business of 100% of the simps, they'll be competing with the business of the 1% who care THAT much.
I mean, if the simps cared THAT much about real relationships they'd be paying to be with escorts IRL. Cam girls are a somewhat cheaper alternative to escorts.
Ultimately, these are all substitutes for male mother need and relationships with women that provide this validation. The various substitutes are of course not exactly the same, and different people are willing to accept these substitutes to varying degrees.
In the end though any time you add a substitute you drive down the cost of the genuine article. I think that pure vanillin tastes like swill, but plenty of people are willing to pay 50 cents for a giant bottle of that instead of $10 for a bottle of the real extract that is half the size. That significantly lowers the demand for the real thing which makes it significantly cheaper than it would be otherwise.
An online chatbot that just has a really good AI and a deepfake pretty face to go with it is going to cost you $5/hr to chat with as much as you want. Maybe some people would prefer paying $5/minute to chat with a real girl instead, but a LOT of men will instead go for the AI. Either way it is just a face on a screen pretending to have a relationship. Neither genuinely cares. Personally I'll be happy to see that $5/hr going to some guy who designed the AI instead of to some THOT.
