This goes completely against the very foundation of western thinking and philosophy. Every idea needs to be broken down into it's base components as metalinguistic variables and studied and analysed logically:

MODUS PONENS (valid):

P -> Q

P

Therefore Q

MODUS TOLLENS (not valid):

Not P

Therefore not Q

If I feel the antecedent and consequent of an idea are invalid, then I [should] have every right to critique that idea, and assert my own premise as a challenge to that idea. For example the gender pay gap; feminists assert that women are paid 78% of what men are paid, and that this is down to discrimination.

Actually, this assertion is modus tollens as it is applying a single varied analysis to a multi varied consequent. Women are paid less because they choose jobs that pay less, work less hours, and take more time off sick.

If criticizing feminism, or feminists ideas, is made a criminal offence then 3000 thousand years of western critical thinking and logic will be trampled on.
