I am a senior executive in HR at a large, Fortune 500 corporation.
In over 2 decades in this career, I have never, NOT ONCE, heard anyone say anything along the lines of "let's not hire (or let's hold back/demote) this person because they are a woman/minority/both." If someone had said such a thing, I am quite certain that it would have been a one-way ticket to either career purgatory or outright termination for them.
On the other hand, if I had a nickel for every time that we went out of our way to hire/promote a woman/minority, I'd be a rich man.

What about productivity / past performance / qualifications ?
I find it so strange that a company even considers to hire someone based on their gender or minority just to ... win social points ?. Even when you know it will impact productivity since you get them there to just consume resources.

All those things are relevant. I didn't mean to suggest we'd hire someone unqualified. But if two equally qualified people are applying for a position, and one of them is female/minority, they are significantly more likely to get the job.
Similarly, we fish in target-rich environments for candidates. For example, we specifically send recruiters to historically black college campuses for recruiting. There is no equivalent recruitment effort for white candidates.

Who comes up with this idea of discriminating against a class of people ? HR ? Legal ? The state ? Management ?
Why also stop at gender and minority and continue also on age criteria while we're at it. Younger employees don't tend to complain as much on the salary/benefits part. And work harder too. Having children , a mortgage , being married is quite another story and not sure if you'd get hired as quickly at 40 vs 20 even if not married or with kids.
Anyway the fact that someone is choosing here is the silly part. Choose to go to a place and fish minorities and choose a gender vs the other based on the assumption that white men don't need this job as much as the women. At that point were there are two candidates with similar background you should have a lottery and see who wins. That would be a compromise in my view.

But when they actually do output offspring they quickly learn that it a lot of fucking work and their options are either continue working and pay ridiculous sums of money to a stranger to raise their kids for them. Or drop out of the workforce to become a mommy. Guess what a lot of them including the affluent ones end up choosing? So here you have a person who has been groomed, propped up through the ranks, and selected over other possibly more capable and talented people, in order to push an agenda. Who then suddenly decides their kids are more important than their careers and the company is left with a void now. The more qualified individuals who were passed up likely were poached or jumped ship to your competitors by now. Ive Seen this very thing happen numerous times now. Usually right around the 29 to 30 year old threshold they drop out of the workforce to become mommies and it doesn't just happen. They PLAN it that way.

Not your fault tbh. Humans are naturally gynocentric and our brains wired to be pro female. We tend to focus on women and ignore men. Men have always had it worse and still do but people will never acknowledge that because men are treated as disposables. Even today, men are the majority victims of almost every crime except rape if you exclude prison rape but guess what? the world is too busy wanking about 'crimes against women'.
The fact that term such as 'crime against women' exist but 'crimes against men' doesn't when men fall prey to almost every type of crime wayyy more often tells you how little society cares about men.

I stopped watching tv or films 18 months ago because of the prejudice and social engineering and this year I have tried to start watching films again. I started with older films before 2000 and then started to watch recent films I tried to watch this film 3 or 4 times. Each time abandoning it. The last scene I remember was Gaga, the unknown waitress, on a date with a rich white famous guy and she punched a policeman who was rude to her date.
