It's a painful subject for me, but I am married and have very little sex with my wife. There are a few reasons for this, but the main one is that as a man, I am biologically programmed to be sexually attracted primarily to women who appear to be healthy and fertile.
Thus, I am interested in having sex with girls who are fit and in their 20s, not women who are flabby and in their 50s like my wife.
Our gynocentric society tells us middle-aged guys that there is something very wrong with us for being attracted to women who are a lot younger, but I've come to believe that this is poppycock. It's perfectly normal for men to be attracted primarily to women who appear healthy and fertile.
And that's one of the problems with marriage they don't tell you about: Assuming the marriage is successful, your wife will be sexually attractive to you for only about 20% of the duration of the marriage.

Yes, I have children who would be pretty upset if I were to leave. I still might do it, though, but what are the alternatives? I could find some nice hot 20-something but then I'd be back in the same boat in another 10 years. I could jump from relationship to relationship but that would feel pretty meaningless to me and in any event, it's getting harder and harder to find young women who are not obese or crazy or both, especially as I age. The last option is to go MGTOW, but if I'm going to do that, there is no reason to leave my wife.

That sentence was a bit unclear, sorry. What I was trying to say is that if I go MGTOW at this point, I'm no better off than if I stay married. Either way means that I am supporting my wife and children and getting little sex.
Or to put it another way, assuming that I completely accept the MGTOW philosophy what's the point of getting divorced or separated? At this point, I might as well make the best I can of the situation.

It means do not become a slave to anything - women, the state, your job, sex, anything.
MGTOW means you are in control, including of your sex life and the relationships/partnerships that you have with women, be they short-term or long-term.
Believe me when I say this: it is possible for you to stay happily married with your wife, and to get as much sex with twenty-year-olds as you want and need. You just have to find a way to make it happen. And where there is a will, there is a way.

I don't think so. If a married man is clever, he can get away with quite a lot of quickies and flings and his wife either won't know or will look the other way. But having a paramour is a lot harder. It's very difficult to conceal such a relationship over the long run and when the wife finds out (or stops denying it to herself) she will make the husband's life miserable.

I don't often see that idea expressed here, the idea of accepting Mgtow and staying married, but you know, that clicks for me a little. I discovered the Mgtow philosophy/lifestyle after getting divorced, and divorce is a real shit show. If nothing else, think very carefully before you pull the divorce trigger. Research and explore your options, and seek at least a little legal advice. Our shorthand term 'divorce rape' isn't just hyperbole, but if you do some research, maybe you can find a slightly less horrible way to navigate it. Or, circling back to your original comment, maybe staying in a less than ideal marriage (ha ha, as if there was such a thing as a good marriage) for a few more years might be a good trade-off, just to prepare more for post-marriage, raise the kids, etc. I might have made a different choice if I had found Mgtow before my divorce. Anyway, interesting topic, that might be the first time I've read that exact thought here. Closest thing I remember being discussed here is the NO MA'AM philosophy of Al Bundy on Married With Children - [here is a link to r/mgtow page about NO MA'AM]. Hated that show back when I was blue-pilled, now I think it's hilarious.
