Females can already go to a sperm-bank, or just have unprotected sex with Chad, in order to get pregnant. Sperm is cheap, and artificial sperm won't do a thing to gender relations. What women want are high-quality mates for long-term relationships, whom can offer romance, paternal care, money etc. By the time that our technology can make a good enough android to take care of women's romantic needs, artificial wombs, eggs, sex and nanny-robots will be commonplace. We all know that women alone can't keep civilization running with a modern living-standard, as they are largely unwilling to take hard decisions and do manual labor. Also, we haven't even taken into account the fact that religious conservative people reproduce faster than secular and less religious people. Religious and patriarchal peoples such as Muslims, will have migrated and out-bred any feminist separatists long before they are close to their Y-chromosome-free utopia.

Edit: Artificial human eggs were already made in 2012. Every scientific advancement that makes men more obsolete, makes women even more obsolete.

hmm, sounds like a good way to have people without souls roaming the earth. Does the soul come completely from the woman at this stage? is there issue with that? makes me wonder if this embryo develops to full term.

I think it's brilliant! Lends so much credence to the feminist "Who needs men?" chant!

I would, however, love to be there when the child needs new shoes/clothes, health insurance, tuition, etc. and it dawns on these women that they're going to need to get a second job or work a lot of overtime (or both!) because the men that they don't need have no intention of paying for it all.
