It's insane society accepts this. But it does because it keeps the economy spinning. They don't want us to go the way of Japan with declining birth rates so they make single moms acceptable and keep those dollars rolling in for big corporations

Single mums are women who, like almost all women, are unable to think critically of themselves. So everything is "men's fault". Nothing they do is their own fault. They find excuses for their own behaviour, instead of learning from it or even learning from the mistakes they have made. This is what they then teach their own sons. "Men are horrible, they do this and that". This teaches the sons to be weak little pussies, which in turn will be a turn off to almost all women.

As long as there are benefits for women to being single mothers, a lot of them will become just that. Without being good mothers.

I am not for letting children starve or suffer because of their parents - be it single, abusive, or what ever type of irresponsible parents. But I am all for finding some solution that prevents women from benefiting from single motherhood.

One option is to have social services step in and take away the children from single mothers.

Not only that, but they also demand housing, and are usually rewarded for their behaviour. They're also clogging up any housing that is available that would be better suited to others (ie homeless, etc).

They wouldnt be single moms if they knew how to treat a man. Then once the dad leaves cause he is sick of argueing, the woman wont let the dad talk to the kids as retailiation and he is now a "deadbeat" and they pull the woe is me, im a single mom bullshit.

Been there... dated a single mum just because of the sex mainly. I had no intention whatsoever to raise her kids lol and I didn’t even meet them in the few months we dated... it’s crazy how sex can make you lose track on things. I won’t be going down that road again.

Marriage is a terrible deal for men all around. This is just more obvious with single mothers.

Now, there are the makings of a good deal either way. You have a woman who a man desires, and you have a man who can provide a home which the woman wants. If the woman has a baby that obviously changes her SMV, but so does being born with warts all over your face, or being born 5 feet tall if you're a man. If everybody had to do their part a relationship could be built here.

The problem is that society legally enforces a man's side of the bargain, but not the woman's. If that woman were actually forced to support her new husband and didn't have the opportunity to just run off the first time she felt like it with half of the guy's cash, then I'm sure there are men who would take the deal. If she is really pretty but stuck with a kid she might have to settle for the guy none of her friends want, but on the flip side that guy gets a pretty girl he'd never end up with otherwise.

However, because society enforces no expectations on the woman, single mothers just end up being cancer (though, really, the rest of women differ mostly in degree). They represent a huge financial commitment and sink, but neither mother nor child is likely to appreciate the sacrifice or really compensate you for it.

And of course society worships the ground they walk on.

I was fortunate enough to be raised by an amazing single mother who worked hard and didn't take shit from anyone. She taught us how to be strong and independent and not put up with anyone (man or woman) that couldn't take care of themselves and get their own shit together. Strong, worthwhile people are hard to come by.
