During the weekend I went to a bar for a couple of drinks. There were this group of girls sitting a few tables away from me. They looked at me, smiled and whispered to each other. I'm no chad, but I'm a tall and reasonably attractive guy so it's not uncommon for me to receive attention. Anyway, one of them approached me and asked if I'd like to join them. I politely told her that I wasn't interested. "Oh, come on," she said. "Nope, sorry." I replied. After a few tries, she went back to her own table. I could clearly hear her mumble, "asshole", on her way back. After that she and her friends all looked at me with these scornful looks on their faces. I just smiled, shook my head and finished my drink.

Funny how me politely turning them down elicits this kind of response. I'm sure none of those girls have ever shot down and humiliated some poor guy because he had the nerve to approach them. No, that's probably never happened.
