This was back when they taught home ek and shop class to kids. When marriages lasted and when having babies and a small farm with a garden was a way of life.

I would have laughed at that in my 20’s but reading it in my 50’s realize that it would be the best thing ever. Unfortunately I’ve never known a woman to have created or provided this. I imagine that women would cringe reading this when in fact it is probably the most loving expression they could ever offer their partner.

If times were like this, by all means, I would love to get married and enjoy life such as it stated. However, fast forward to today, I would come home to a messy home with an ice cream indulged couch ridden female watching Netflix asking her what I am buying her for dinner. Fuck that.
