Find ANY job which helps you with human contact, just start with the first one you can land.

After that as others have said, move out, own your space and resources, and continue looking for the next best thing.

I started at ... 29 btw, so your story is something I’m quite familiar with.

A. Find a temp agency and see if you can get placed with any of your past employment skills. Look to the internet for resume and interview tips. B. AND/OR Take a personality test to find out what career type suits you best. Some jobs like basic IT positions and Supply Chain require certifications rather than a college degree and are therefore more attainable. C. AND/OR Work towards an apprenticeship in a trade that you find enjoyable like plumbing or carpentry. These are also ESPECIALLY useful if you ever want to go off the grid and truly to do your own thing.

Focus on finding a career path first and then once you’ve established that interest, work towards that entry level job. After you have an agenda and hopefully a better income than focus on your living situation.

Hobbies are important but may also cost money. To make friends, try the Meetup app. A lot of people use it where I live in the US so not sure about the U.K. but there has to be some equivalent. It’s done wonders for my social life. Best of luck.

Living in London is difficult for these things, though it might actually be a benefit as you have accomodation already. What skills have you learnt over the last 10 years, if any? You might think you've not accumulated any, but what have you been doing the last 10 years? Even if it's messing around with your PC, it's skill a transferrable thing.

With job interviews, the key thing is a good looking CV - that's easy enough via the use of some websites. Use something like [cvmkr](https://cvmkr.com/) to make a contrasting/standout coloured CV and get applying to places. See if anyone in the family has some entry level roles going, often initially your family network can help find you something to get you on your feet. Look for some retail position, such as your local coop/tesco. In 24 hour stores there's often night roles that don't require much social interaction - go in, sort shit out and go home.

Don't become another number in the scores of young men who've killed themselves.

One other thing - there are often charities about that work with the job centre who help get people like yourself into full time work. I don't know much about London, but having a google, it seems like [Groundwork](http://groundwork.org.uk) might be of help. I imagine the job centre would refer you to the local one if you explain your past. Good luck!

First of all get a job. Secondly move out of your mother's house. You're nearly 30. It's time to be an adult. Live alone and handle yourself for a couple of years. Then see how you feel.

this is exactly what happens when there is a lack of a strong father figure in the home. your mother pacified and destroyed you. you are literaly not worth a dime.

i suggest a very short and brief understanding of the destruction of your spirit

then you must put yourself in a situation where noone will help you or save you.

Besides all said.
Also learn to deal with fear, in a way that it doesn't hold you back when the best option is to do something.
Fear can only be saddled and ridden; and you have to find a way suitable for you to overcome fear paralizing you.
Maybe a psychologist can help, if you can't manage fear on your won.

There’s a possibility that you’re, like me, a slow classroom learner rather than a slow learner. Of course that means you have to put in all the work yourself, but building a career like that can be done. What are your interests and how much self studying do you do?

Learn a skill. Particularly one you know you will love and stick to. Like making games, fixing cars, fixing computers etc

Start lifting weights (this will build mental toughness)

Eat more protein (for building muscle)

Learn about food and biology (this will teach you about your body and how micro and macronutrients work in the body)

Read books (make you wiser and build intelligence)

You need to take any job you can get. I mean it. Anything. Even if you think it's an utter embarrassment to take it, take it.

You'd be surprised what holding down a job does for your motivation. ANY job will give you life skills you desperately need right now: structure, income, responsibility, routine, reason to follow a sleep schedule, reason to shower, reason to groom, etc.

Take any job you can. Also look at your available mental health services. There's a good chance you need to be treated for depression.

What is your daily routine? I bet you don't have one. What time do you get up? Start right now with cleaning your room from top to bottom and then tomorrow morning, get up at 8am, make your bed (very important) and then immediately go shower, shave and get dressed in some clean clothes. Don't switch on computer. Go out for a brisk walk in a place you like. London is a beautiful city. Go and out and observe. You're 28 and missing out on enjoying life. That should help motivate you to get your shit together.

As for work - Before thinking about a career, you need a job. Any job that pays you will improve your self-esteem because you'll be contributing something to society and getting paid. This will be an unpopular opinion, but have you considered working in McDonald's? - You can choose to be only part-time at the start and you can usually choose the hours you work. It's hard work but you will get training and there is usually a very good team spirit among the staff and you will meet a lot of potential friends. Also, since it's a big company, the hours and pay are regulated and managers will follow the rules. (That's not often the case in independent restaurants.)

Another suggestion would be "postman" - That's more of a solitary job but it will get you out of the house in the morning and keep you fit. Research online how to apply.

I'm socially clueless

Read "How to win friends and influence people" by Dale Carnegie. You can buy it online for a few quid. It's an excellent book that essentially teaches you how to interact with people. Read the reviews on Amazon. It's a life-changer.

For a start you have acknowledged the problem.That is vital.Secondly you live in London and several mgtows live in and around the capital city. Thirdly if you are having trouble working out what to do, may I recommend 30 Days of Discipline by Victor Pride.It will help you decide what to do and will give you a structure to work to. Going back to living in London. I myself live near London and I am sure we could meet up.This is where mgtow should go.We can complain about the system as much as we like but we should focus now on building up a network of strong self reliant men who can help each other out." i have seen people change when they get a job . money changes people and it does not matter what job , even a janitor . all that matters is self-income . you'll get new doors open for you when you move out . work at a mall , be a janitor , teach high schoolers , be a waiter , be a construction worker , a driver ... just ANYTHING . it's already too late my friend . you're a mgtow and a mgtow never backs down . he has courage to fight the system and self ( in your case your own stupid personality ) and stand on his own feet firmly than any blue pill idiot .

Start watching Jordan Peterson's speeches. Especially those that people pinned on YouTube as "motivational".

He's not very popular with MGTOW, since he is blue-pilled, but I've seen quite a lot of his material and have to say that he has very deep understanding of human psychology. His Personality lecture series is my favorite, but I'd recommend starting with his public talks and interview podcasts. They are much more accessible.

The military.

Why?

It WILL cure you of all these ails. Laziness goes out the window. Confidence will be built from the ground up, isolation is impossible, you WILL learn to get along with people from many different racial and socio economic levels. You will get a career if you choose to stay in, and skills that you can carry with you to the civilian sector once you leave.

The military will forcibly break all of the problems you stated having. It will do it quickly and effectively hit a "reset" button on you.

I dont often recommend military service as a first choice, but it could very well be the magic pill you need.

Don’t beat yourself up, I’m 30 and moved back home after me and my fiancé broke up, getting back on my feet. But as far as work goes, first get anything, it looks better if you have a job to move up to a better one. As for me I’m not much for classroom learning, do you enjoy working with your hands? Look in to the trades, there’s a wide variety, construction, welding, plumbing, electrician, industrial maintenance. Many people think they are low paying jobs for”dumb” people, but they are highly skilled and well paid with good benefits and retirement.

at 28 . no career . lives with mom . hate me but you're literally trash . and i know you know it too .

loathing aside , solution time . work in hotel or as construction worker asap . get it going from the very next morning . i see this as a possibility for me too , albeit rare .

i cannot imagine the frustration you must be feeling . beg anybody to help you . if you have a driver's licence , boy you can get back on track .
