In ye olden days, if we had a fair and just society, if we had a marriage system and family court that was fair and just and wasn’t designed around “fuck men in the ass for the benefit of the women”, a family was your retirement plan. You’d invest money time and labor to raise children, and then after you’re old as shit, if you raised the kids properly they would take care of you until you died. It wasn’t the best retirement plan ever, but it worked for thousands of years across multiple societies.

In current year, we have shit like welfare and social security. Now, you just marry daddy government and the government gives you free gibs for just existing, so you can go hire a caregiver or go into a nursing home or whatever. So now there’s very little point in having kids.

And then you throw in the fact that marriage and family court and the gynocentric society all have one goal - fuck men in the ass - and getting married and starting a family is literally the dumbest thing you could do.

I know so many dudes in trades and construction that could be killing it if they were single, but they live paycheck-to-paycheck because they either have a wife and kids or are on child support and then blow the money on the kids while being a weekend dad (big days out, big meals out, Disney, etc). These dudes would be rich if they lived minimal and invested most of that money. Guys who work their ass off, too. And can't figure out why they are always broke.

Tbh, I've seen many woman get men to pull themselves together and work extra hard. I don't think a working man will be in poverty if he has a family. Women are very good at getting men to be effective work horses.

I have to disagree. while a lot of families have a good relations and support, some are just toxic AF and end up estranged and seperated.
