First of all I want to thank this sub for helping this 26 yo black man to think for himself and to constantly and consistently improve. I've recently been looking into my local community college and the electrician diploma looks really interesting. The reason I was interested in electrician stuff was because I used to watch this show on LPB called "This Old House" and loved watching the men always fixing stuff. When I was in college, I was a work study student at an electrical engineers building. Crazy thing was that I was a Kinesiology major(Health). Honestly the only reason I got into the major I was in was because I thought I wanted to be a Athletic Trainer but that interest slowly faded away with every semester. I ended up realizing that I really just wanted to be a soccer coach because I played some intramurals and absolutely love the sport. The degree practically became more or less useless but I digress. After graduating AND TAKING A COUPLE YEARS to realize that I messed up, I realized that I should pursue something more practical. I can still invest in the coaching thing by getting my licenses but I most definitely need something to pay off the loans and bills until I become a pro coach one day haha. I'm not really asking if what I am doing is the right thing but I just wanted to put my thoughts out and see how it goes. Thanks for reading.
