I wouldn't classify either of these two as MGTOW. They're the epitome of blue pilled white knights regardless of how minimalist they are in their personal lives. Successful as though they might be, they are part of the very social institutions MGTOW is against. As far as their minimalist lifestyle, that is definitely one of the many end goals men should look towards achieving so as not to draw attention from people that would otherwise try to ruin what they've built.

This is a classic billionaire image that is popular to project so that people will say "Oh look at him, he is so rich yet he still dresses modest and drives an old car. What a good man he is".

Meanwhile these rich assholes assemble multitudes of billions, buy enormous swaths of land and build mansions and fly in private luxury jets.

If I were a billionaire, I would've dressed expensively and eccentrically for public appearances. I liked sharp and commanding look of Peter Weyland in Alien: Covenant prologue. Image of a billionaire in t-shirt or turtleneck and jeans gets old IMO. It was a thing when it started, but now I smell not IDGAF attitude, but insecurity in it.
