Almost every country on earth is lending money from a central bank. In the year 2000 there were only eight major countries that did not have a Rothschild-controlled or owned Central Bank:

Afghanistan

Iraq

Sudan

Libya

Cuba

North Korea

Syria

Iran

Guess how many countries that is now, and do these countries sound familiar? lol

UBI or not, these people control our planet and all we can do is defend the current wage-slave system to keep the illusion of freedom and choice alive.

The wealth gap is so huge now, i say give people that don't stand a chance in this harsh reality a basic income, it's funny money anyways!

So, UBI is ideal for a post-capitalist cyber-physical world where almost everything has been automated. When the production of goods and services create value yet require little to zero human capital. In such an economy, by current paradigm, unemployment would be rampant, and only owners of these massive automated corps will be earning anything. At that point it's better to just distribute the money produced amongst all. Because the idea of employment no longer exists.

In the current scenario it doesn't make sense. Sure, I can understand helping the disadvantaged, but giving everyone $1000 dollars per month seems like an unsustainable burden on the taxpayer.

UBI will work in an fully, or almost fully automated society. Where humans are not needed for work, we are free to do as we please while our created machines do all the work. But again, we are hundreds of years away from that scenario, if not due to the technical barriers then the luddites will hold us back.

Yep, well summarize. It doesn't make any sense and will only provoke uncontrolled inflation, Venezuela's style.

You can only take so much to high earning people until it stop either their will to continue working 80h a week, or bankrupt their business development.

Only people with zero entrepreneurial understanding and no common sense can think this will work in the long run.

The only way it might work is if food and goods become infinite and free to produce, Star Trek replicator style. Without that it won't, it can't.

UBI is bachelor tax in disguise. Now men arent marrying they need to take money away from men and give it to women and low IQ minorities. But they hide it by saying "you get the money too" ignoring that for every $1000 you receive an extra 3000 is coming out of your taxes.

It's making the rounds again in the last few days, probably of a flawed study conducted by "expert" "researchers" on Finland's trials on UBI, which to no one's surprise, hailed it as the solution to all mankind's problems.

I believe that the government should, to an extent, have a safety net in place to help the less fortunate members of society, who due to circumstances outside of their own control, need help meeting their basic human needs.

However I am vehemently against paying people a wage merely for existing; doubly so when they live beyond their means and have children without any regard to the financial implications there of; and triply so when this wage reduces any incentive for them to earn an honest living.

The number of people in the US with jobs below the subsistence level has been slowly increasing in the developed world since the 1970s. A decent economy, which is now gone, hid this growing problem.

It will dawn on many of these workers who just lost their jobs (even if they are in short term subsidized unemployment) that another job is not coming soon, and if it does it will pay less. Millions of people in cities around the US.

Do you suggest waiting for them to start forming tribes or pay them off?

I wouldn't worry too much about it, Trump merged the Fed into the Treasury with the stimulus package. The central bank lost control of the United States and that petrol dollar bullshit is going to end by the end of his second term

I believe it will come from a VAT tax and not from printing extra money. I think the logic is they want to go after big data companies like Google because they are automating lots of jobs and not giving back.
