Also she looks fit. So that right there is the best of the best of the best you could expect when you're middle aged. Still she's not really hot.

Sort of untold issue in Hollywood, that of the "homewrecker"

If you are a woman and you get a reputation as a homewrecker, you'll find it's tough to keep getting consistent work. First, there are infinitely fewer parts for women than for men. This is a statistical reality in Hollywood. Second, a small number of women disproportionately take the lions share of roles that are available ( Julianne Moore, Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams, Alicia Vickander, Zoe Saldana, Sandra Bullock, Meryl Streep, etc) Third, like any niche industry, the circle is very very small.

McGowan, as the story goes, broke up the marriage between director Robert Rodriguez and his then long time wife, Elizabeth Avellan.

Claire Danes is an Emmy winning actress, but you don't see her in huge movies do you? She stole away Billy Crudup from his eight months pregnant girlfriend, Mary Louis Parker of Weeds.

McGowan has a ton going against her. First, she's much older now. Second, she was always a mediocre actress. Third, she has the rep of a homewrecker. It's not so much the male actors care as much as their wives and girlfriends raise a massive stink when a noted homewrecker is on their set.

But that would require reason on her part to see the above as mitigating factors in her current situation. Like most women, she doesn't care. If she's not getting what she wants and when she wants it, it has to be someone elses fault. Sigh.
