I spent nine years in. Had great experiences, made some great bros, learned a trade, stayed fit and out of debt... And if I were to somehow die, despite not being an infantryman, I would die as a warrior.

The Army helped me make myself into a man.

I joined because I wanted to. I did it for myself. I understand the negative opinion of the armed services on this sub. Not everyone that joins is a deluded, BP simp though.

I don't think I would go into the Army these days, to many deployment risks.

But Navy, or Air force would be good.

Its a great deal financially.

There are many careers that pay extremely well that you can get into via the military. Things like aircraft mechanic, flight controller, cyber warfare, etc... Many of which START at 6 figures.

Military training (BCT, AIT, etc)is a very good replacement for traditional rites of passage if you feel like you need to be shown how to be a man (not the treat women like princesses in the hopes of getting laid "real man"). Other than that, it is a shit show that will ruin your life if you are weak minded.

28 here, been in for 4 years. Money, benefits, student loan forgiveness, and the job itself. You are correct about the slavery part, although there are plenty of arguments to support that slavery never ended with how the system is set up against the common person.

I joined because I was specialized in my field which is highly competitive and little to earn in the “real world.” I’m well over-qualified for this job, but if you can get past the bullshit, it’s the easiest job out there. I work probably 30 hours a week on average (not including PT), the evenings are mine, I save half my pay check every month, weekends are mostly free, have to stay in shape, free health care and housing, 30 days paid vacation per year, travel the world, etc. At 44 I can retire with half my pay and never have to work again as a MGTOW guy.

Money. Benefits. It’s manly? Who doesn’t want to go shoot M-4’s and throw grenades? You have to go through shit in BCT but you are refined and produced into a soldier. Skills that translate into you being a better person. Self discipline, increased mental and physical endurance.

Why wouldn’t someone join the military is what I wonder. GI bill, military discounts, USAA insurance. Retirement, career building experience at the expense of the government. And you have to earn all of it. It’s an experience that I believe everyone should have.

I joined the Military at age 21. It was the best decision of my life. I learned a skill, I learned team work, I finished collage, and it made me a better man. From time to time I'll go back to my home town and see some of the losers I went to High School with. They are sad and pathetic.
