Honest question what is the benefit to marriage? Do you get any kind of tax break? Like the government want men and women to reproduce right so they must have some incentive to get people to get married and have kids etc?

I don't disagree that if you take a step back, marriage can be a shockingly bad decision for a large proportion of men, but I don't see why this has to mean marriage rates have declined because men don't want to get married. I think it's far more plausible said rates have declined because women don't want to get married.
