So the title is my tl'dr but i'll get i'll go more in depth

So some backstory. So i've been dating this guy (we'll call him jeff) for a few years now. He's a pretty normal guy but he had this weird thing for collecting toys. And not like a few action figures on his desk or anything he had a whole room in his house dedicated to them, He's not a like a kid either he's 34. He also loved to tell people about it for some reason but i've always just kinda brushed it off

So for the past few months me and jeff have been talking about moving in together and he made it very clear that he wanted a room for his toys and that if we ever had a kid that they would not be allowed to play with any of them (he keeps most of them in their boxes so they can be in "mint condition") This has been a huge conflict since we started talking about moving in together and he honestly is acting super immature. I gave him an ultimatum telling him that it's me or the toys and he called of the plans to move in with me. Since then we've been on a break but we got back together 3 weeks ago and have been repairing things.

Well cut to this last weekend. Jeff had to go out of state for a business trip and asked me to take care of his cat. During this time however I got drunk and had an emotional breakdown, during which I destroyed a good amount of his collection. I honestly feel really bad about this and knew he would be crushed but I didn't think he would react to bad. Well, he did. When he got home I told him what i did and tried to calm him down but he freaked out and kicked me out of his house. I told him I would give him what he payed for the toys but he "claims" his collection was worth "more that your whore ass can afford"(His words, not mine).

Well that was the last I heard from him until last night, a cop showed up at my door to serve me and arrest me. I'm facing a felony destruction charge along with a lawsuit of over 80k for his collection.

I'm out on bail right now but I think this is ridiculous. How can toys be worth that much money and why am I facing charges when I offered to reimburse him for what he payed (I have the text of me saying that) and he turned it down. Will the courts side with him or will they see a man child crying about toys?

What that dumb whore doesn't realize is that mint condition toys can sell for ridiculous amounts of money. Comic books, Cards of ball players, coins, or anything else that is RARE can have a significant value so... "just toys" is not even close to what his collection actually is.

I hope that cunt spends a few years in the slammer for that shit!

I'm an "AFOL" (Adult Fan of LEGO) as well. I have my dedicated LEGO room. And it's true that "MISB" (mint condition, in sealed box) sets can actually go for several thousands of bucks, just like train models. And yes, it's annoying to hear people calling them "toys".

I wonder why he ignored that giant red flag. Once you hear «it's me or the toys», you know your "toys" are doomed. Not only she identified what to target in order to hurt you as much as possible, she clearly promised you she will do as much as she will please. In fact, it only took her a few drinks to destroy $80K of your personal property.

If you are actually passionate about something, you should be wary of people that aren't at least as much as passionate. I bet even a female AFOL, given a random mood swing, could do the same.
