Being single to me means being "without a partner". I'm single. I don't have a girlfriend. Do I want one? I'm not sure. Do I miss sex, yeah but then I remember that for the " tingle", you've got to go on dates, spend large amount of time together. Being single I've got lots of time to work on myself.

I am not single.

The word "single" implies that there is "a desire to NOT be single."

That's why there are "singles mixers, singles nights, singles event whatever". So that people who are wanting to be with someone else can end their "singleness".

The word I use? SOLO ... .. (and the wookie, if I ever get a sog)

I'm in the deep south and most people around here define "being single" as "Not engaged or married." This makes for all sorts of fun when a local answers the question with "yeah" and their non-legal partner who wasn't raised here gets all huffy.

Freedom to do as you please and see who ya want. I still enjoy hitting on women and doing some chasing. No dinner dates or anything like that, most I spend on a girl is 2 to 3 drinks if we go out or hang with each other. All they are worth to me. I make sure they buy for me the next time. I'm not into the whole monk mode thing I dont think its healthy. Gotta have some balance in life, just be smart about it and don't commit, procreate, or live with em. I'm to the point to where I'd rather run one out than bang em but I still enjoy their company a few times a month.
