The title is about dating, but this topic goes far deeper than that.

When I was 21, I dated a 17 year old girl, and found that some people thought it was weird that an older guy would like a younger girl. Even as dating someone below 18 is legal in my state, people thought it was weird. I think some people think that even an interaction with a girl below 18 is a turn off and strange.

Historically, women would be able to have kids at 14, 15, 16, and 17; and would get married off at that age. Girls below 18 and at that point, are at their most fertile time to have children at. In many countries, women still marry at those ages, except for in the West.

So, to me, it seems like there is some type of feminist societal construct in place blocking the most fertile women from reproducing. As it would be seen as taboo, for a girl below and at the age of 18 to marry and have children at.

I personally think that old feminists got pissed that guys are attracted to younger girls, and tried to block access to a segment of the younger female population. Thus, it would reduce the options for men to date younger girls, and force them to date some old used up hag (for lack of better words).

It's funny, since women at 18 are allowed to date 30 or 40 year old men with money and resources. (I've known a 21 year old girl, and she said she talked to a guy in his 30s.) And they have access to men in their prime years of wealth and status. Yet for men, we are barred from having access to women in their absolute most fertile years.

Some people might say that "girls at 17 or 18 aren't mature". Yeah, well an 18 year old girl getting with a rich 30 year old has a big maturity gap too, and its seen as 99% "totally fine, you go girl". But if a 21 year old guy gets with a 17 year old girl (who is less than a year from being 18) it's seen as wrong and abuse; which is absolutely ridiculous.

I've also known girls at 14 and 13 who were already having sex in the West. It's honestly not even a shocker to most people that a 15 or 16 year old girl has already had sex. The point of having these taboos was so that young girls would stay virgin until marriage, but they're already having sexual intercourse, so why does it matter honestly?

And for the record, this is a MGTOW subject, because it's how society bars us from talking to women younger than us. I think one of the goals of having these taboos is to encourage men to "date at your own age", and to encourage men to settle for 30 year old former CC riders when we hit 30.
