Wife frequently has abandonment anxiety, and accuses me of wanting to abandon her, or, of me not being trustworthy. I don't play those games, so these accusations are all empty, just reflections of her own feelings and issues, not of me.

Before, I used to say "But I love you!" and try to convince her I did. This only made her more angry and distant, demanding I convince her. It made me pathetic.

What I do now is to say "Hey hon, I know you feel that way. But I'll do my thing for you and this family because it is what I want." This ends it immediately, good sex usually follows.

XI. Be irrationally self-confident

No matter what your station in life, stride through the world without apology or excuse. It does not matter if objectively you are not the best man a woman can get; what matters is that you think and act like you are. Women have a dog’s instinct for uncovering weakness in men; don’t make it easy for them. Self-confidence, warranted or not, triggers submissive emotional responses in women. Irrational self-confidence will get you more pussy than rational defeatism.

I chose to share this one as A) I’ve been pretty busy and haven’t been posting as much and figured this was a good time to jump in and B) Because I have a knack for confidence and bringing that out in others.

I began my RP journey when I joined the military and haven’t looked back since. I have separated from service but the traits that were ingrained into my soul will never tarnish or lax. It’s one of the reasons that I am up before the sun whether I have a reason to be or not. But I digress....

Confidence is a trait where you can ‘Fake it till you make it’ and that is something I encourage, in the beginning. The RP journey takes you down a path that will both humble you as well as strengthen you. You begin to recognize your weaknesses and while they are exposed to you they are not exposed to anyone else.

It is up to You to recognize where you fail to reach an acceptable standard and from there you know where to start working.

Read more, so that you’re interesting, educated, and understand what the hell is going on around you. If you aren’t reading the sidebar material and blogs, then what the fuck? These are resources to help you improve your life, use them. When you really understand a topic, then you will be confident discussing that topic. When you understand women, you are confident around them as you can pick their body language, words, and actions apart.

Don’t tell them you know, just know and act appropriately.

Physical confidence comes from the iron. If you aren’t lifting, then again, what in the actual fuck?? When your body is sore, do not complain. When you’re stuck in your chair or struggling on the stairs, laugh at yourself and move forward (or up) but do not complain. The pain is a honorable one and finding comfort in this discomfort is the key to progress, love the iron and love the pain of growth.

When you are in shape you will stand taller, your posture will improve, you won’t wear a fucking shirt at the beach, you’ll look better in your clothes, and you will look like a person who can keep up with his kids and can keep up in the bedroom.

No woman wants a man who is gassed after 3 minutes of thrusting in the bed.

Have a small cock? Are you short? Graying at 20? Got a beer gut? Do NOT hide or be embarrassed of these things. Everyone will see them and everyone will know (except the small cock, only the girl will during sex) Use them to your advantage. If you make these attributes your strength then no one can hurt you with them. Learn to use them and with the beer gut, everyone starts somewhere. I never had a beer gut, but my friend did. We worked out together and now you’d never tell he was fat we both look the same, fit.

Confidence will exude from you if you stand a little taller, lift some weights, and know your self and what the fuck you’re talking about.

Fortunately and unfortunately we live in a feminized society. That is fortunate because you will look like a champ almost immediately because women are used to seeing the fucking weak, fat, lazy, unmotivated dudes who are walking around. It is unfortunate because iron sharpens iron…I’d rather all of the men in our society step up and raise their standard than continue acting like fucking pussies.

Confidence is key, believe in yourself Right Now and be the Man you were meant to be. Straighten up and find comfort in the discomfort.

EDIT: I forgot to add the importance of confidence and leadership.

If you are to lead your family, then they have to believe in your ability to 'Captain' their ship. This is why you need to remove, "I don't know & I don't care" from your vocabulary. That option was gone the moment you took on the responsibilities of another person. If it's your wife or your kids, you DO know or you will find out and you DO care when you are sought out for advice/opinion.

Stop being passive and letting everything operate on autopilot. You cannot delegate all of your authority and expect your men (family) to recognize you as their leader. The know who is doing the work, who has the ability to perform when called upon, and where the power is when push comes to shove.

If you don't believe in you, then how can anyone else and if your wife and kids don't believe in you, then why should they follow you?

It is your responsibility to take charge of your life and to earn their trust through your actions. Lift, read, stick to your guns, and don't be an asshole who just grabs the wheel and says I'm in charge now. You have to earn it through action, so do it.

The Commandments are the same whether you are in a 30 year marriage or a trying to get a one night stand. Did you forget that your wife is a woman?

Lets take these 1 at a time. OP takes on Commandment 1: Never say "I love you first."

It is fitting that I take on Commandment #2:

Make her jealous. Flirt with other women in front of her. Do not dissuade other women from flirting with you. Women will never admit this but jealousy excites them. This is one of the most important things in a long term relationship or marriage and also one of the hardest things to accept. Essentially this short paragraph sums up the concept of Dread. Make her jealous. Is sounds so manipulative, as if you are tricking her into having sex with you. What could be more disgusting? Your wife is just jealous so she is fucking you to keep you around.

Nope. When you make a woman jealous it makes her WET. She genuinely gets turned on at the thought that HER man is in demand and that HER man is desired by other women. Oh sure, your wife would probably divorce-rape you if you actually cheated- but the idea that you COULD cheat because other women want you turns on the juices like nothing else in the world.

If you are in a /r/deadbedrooms marriage, the secret to getting your wife to put out with real, genuine passion is to put the tiniest spark of doubt in her mind that maybe- just maybe- you could do better than her. This is not conscious but a secret back door to a woman's vagina.

Use it, but use it sparingly and carefully. When you are deliberately using the Dread it is like a home invasion robbery where you sneak in for the goods with everybody asleep. DO NOT treat it like a frontal assault and go in guns blazing with lipstick on your collar or flirting and disappearing with hot young girls. Dread is subtle and delicate and required fine precision tools, not jackhammers.

We used to end every phone conversation with "I love you", "I love you too". I've stopped, but she still keeps saying it.

When she says it in person, I say something like "I know", or "You better!" and smack her on the ass or grab her by the neck and kiss her with a deep peck...then smack her ass.

Then I try to find opportunities to say it to her as a reward for a desired behavior.

Maybe 2-3 times a month, I'll reply to her "I love you" with a very confident, almost commanding, "Hey. I love YOU".

Finally, I think we can all agree to never say it in that tone that's almost like a question, waiting for "I love you too" back anymore. I actually frame it to myself as show her how I love her with actions rather than words, and be sure to not confuse supplicating to her as loving actions.

Interestingly (or predictably), though the pregnancy might be an unaccounted variable in this, is that she used to say things like "I don't feel your love right now", despite me saying it like 15 times a day. That seems to have gone away. Overall it seems to be a net positive experience in our relationship.

She did call me out on not saying "I love yous" on the phone a couple weeks after I first started, somehow I got lucky and there was a very natural way for me to avoid the conversation. I'm still not sure what I would say in the event she called me out again for it. Anyone have thoughts on that?

I'd like to make a suggestion for this ongoing discussion. I think a great way to approach this conversation would be to do one commandment per week as opposed to one per day.

This should allow a much richer conversation that starts with the guys who may have that particular commandment mastered to share their experience right off the bat. There can be a chance for some specific questions and answers exchanged among the less and more experienced. And, this would create the opportunity for everyone to experiment and report back, and get feedback as the week progresses.

What do you guys think?
