TL;DR
Increasing alpha behavior causes predictable responses. This may be sexual frequency, a calmer household, or a happier life. The response may also be mate retention and mate guarding behavior, such as blowjobs, adventurous sex, and forgetting to take her birth control pill. As you become the man you were when you met your wife (or better), she will change as well. AWALT.
A good start
Early in our dating life my wife showed both enthusiasm and naiveté in the bedroom. She had a low partner count and had only experienced vanilla sex. She had an obvious desire to experiment and impress every time she faced an obvious reminder of my SMV. She recognized that an empty ring finger put her in a precarious position and did her best to extract a commitment. I reaped the benefits in the bedroom.
Avoiding the shotgun wedding
My wife is a very organized person in both her personal and professional life. If it needs to happen, she makes it happen. But this organized person somehow forgot to take her birth control pill on a regular basis. It usually happened after overhearing a message from a woman on my answering machine or after a party with my female colleagues. Mid-cycle was the worst. I did not rely on her memory. I secretly checked her dosette every day to make sure she had taken her pill before deciding on whether to use a condom. It was not unusual for her to miss two days at a time.
Too comfortable
My wife's memory improved when we moved in together. She rarely forgot to take the pill, usually mid-cycle or when we were on vacation.
Marriage somehow enabled my wife to remember to take the pill with a flawless record for years. I let my guard down.
A year since taking the Red Pill
We have two children. I do not want any more. She claims to not want any more. Our house has an extra bedroom and my financial plan has always included a contingency for unintended pregnancy, but I just don't want any more kids. The vasectomy is two weeks away.
This past weekend was the culmination of days of planning for instigation, isolation, escalation, DEVI, and all the good stuff that compels our wives to open their legs for us. My wife responded as you might imagine.
The next day my wife called me into the room, birth control dosette in hand. This incredibly organized woman with a flawless record of birth control during our marriage had managed to forget to take the pill. A hug, a few jokes, and a calm disposition on my part allowed her to calm down and move on. Having a contingency plan made it easy.
I recognize this woman. She is the woman I had dated. She is the woman I had agreed to marry. Dear reader, you do not know my wife. This behavior is not intentional. It is a subconscious response to the changes in our relationship. It is her body agenda telling her mid-cycle that she needs alpha sperm, whether her forebrain likes it or not.
I will have the vasectomy in two weeks and will still be fertile for up to two months. I will be watching that dosette.
Lessons Learned
Outcome independence and frame can be strengthened by treating life as a game of chess. Survey the landscape to identify your long-term objective and to determine every possible move. Consider all the games that have been played before - not just your games, but games that have been played by others. Give more weight to the moves that are known to your opponent. Plan your move along with every contingency for every opposing move that may follow. There are plenty of classic games to study in the sidebar and in this forum. Use them.
Take the lesson from my misstep and consider it in your MRP journey. In the birth control game, you cannot trust a fertile woman with contraception unless you are truly prepared for her to be pregnant today. She may have reliably taken that pill during your beta days, but her hormones, her genes, her most basic drive is to have your alpha babies. If you give up the responsibility for birth control, then you must assume that she will try to become pregnant and plan accordingly. You are not the person you were before the red pill, and neither is she.
