At the moment that's true - I'm working on changing it. As I said I'm new to red Pill but I'm studying and implementing.

Yes. Everyone new to the red pill struggles with what you're struggling with. If we put you on a scale where 0 is that your wife is the one leading the family and 10 is where you are leading the family, you're at a 0.
It's okay to live your life like this if you're happy with it. If that is the case, then this is not the place for you.
If you're not happy with it then we might need to know more. What are your goals for you and your family? Oh? You don't have any. I see. Well, if you don't know where you're going, then any road will take you there.

Never watched Alice in Wonderland, but caught this part on TV awhile back in Disney. When the cat says "Then it doesn't matter which way you go" I was like holy shit...that's pretty deep for a kids movie.

You are thinking of this the wrong way entirely.
You're talking like a high school football player who hopes to one day make the NFL.
Being captain isn't something that's handed to you. It's something that you take.
Many decisions and reactions that people have towards you are entirely subconscious. Some are even lower than that: they are instinct. People react to you differently if you're in good shape. They react differently to you if you are decisive and clear in your actions. They react differently to you if you have a clear purpose. People want to be a part of something that's going somewhere. If you're going somewhere, your family will want to come with and they will follow your lead.
When you sit around at home, what goal are you striving towards?

I'm not as directionless as it might sound. I'm a successful lawyer (partner in a national firm) and I work hard. I do lack direction in my family life - that's something I'm working on and red pill is really helping me to see the world differently.
I take the point about just taking the role of captain.
