MRP over the years has had steady growth, but thankfully not exponential growth. In case it's not clear, we aren't here to save every man. With over 40K men coming here to read and share notes, the moderator team will be adding a strict set of flair to help identify where men are in their journey.

Let's get to why at the end.

And by the way, flair doesn't mean shit.

Unflaired: Unflaired comments should be viewed with great suspicion. Unflaired original posts will be very strictly moderated.

Grinding: When a man has discovered MRP, is able to see the matrix and is in the beginning stages of his journey, having read most of the sidebar and is working hard to internalize this through ACTION, a Moderator at their discretion may award this flair. This flair is usually not awarded until a few months of reliable OYS post history. Posts made by grinding users (that do not belong in /r/askmrp) will be strictly moderated.

Unplugging: When it is confirmed the user has successfully "unplugged" from the matrix and has at the very least understood how the matrix works from reading the sidebar, is making significant progress to unplug himself from problematic ways of his old life, and is providing quality posts and obviously making a real effort to understand and contribute, a Moderator can assign this flair. Men who have unplugged and are continually adding value to the sub should quickly move into MRP Approved. Posts made by unplugging users (that do not belong in /r/askmrp) will be somewhat moderated.

MRP APPROVED: is the gold standard indicating a user who has successfully made the journey, read (and understands) the sidebar, may not always be right, but most of the time they are reliably Red Pill and trustworthy. Users with MRP APPROVED flair will not need much if any moderation attention. There is a broad range of MRP APPROVED Flair holders, some very exceptional, some with some residual purple pill leanings who are still otherwise very high quality, and some who are merely reliably Red Pill and trustworthy with consistently good advice and/or several high quality posts. MRP Approved users may also lobby the moderator team with reason to change a user's flair or have them banned, permanently.

Modifiers to the flair categories are assigned as moderators see fit. Examples include:

  • Married
  • Single
  • LTR
  • HardCore Red
  • Divorced
  • 60 DOD
  • etc.

Why the change? We're going back to rule zero. It's simple. As our sub has grown, men at the upper levels of the journey have been giving advice to those at the beginning or intermediate stages of their journey that is too far reaching and causes mental masturbation with in-action and inhibits progress. The goal is to identify where users are in their journey quickly and tailor that advice to them so that they are not lost in the upper levels of the game and can make real progress to unplug, recalibrate, and grind their way to a better life for themselves.

Assignment of flair will begin now and will take some time to moderate, but be patient as the moderator team works through this and takes effort to make flair decisions moving forward.
