In middle of switching careers. Taking a while to get all the way out of old one, can't wait to be done and start new one full time. May have better job opportunity in a different state with new career. Either way I can't do anything about this till old job is finally in rear view mirror.
Wife not enthusiastic about it because she says our two teenage kids will not adjust well. I think they will be fine. I also think she just doesn't want to move because she loves it here. She knows how much I hate where we live. As I get close to finally transitioning over full time with new job, I don't want anything to do with this same area I currently live in. I hate my current job and everything about it, I don't want to continually be reminded by it, I want a fresh start with job and also location.
This is my first job change and I'm pushing forty yrs old. What can I say to get her to think like me and want to move to a new location also? How can I make this win win?
