Hi MRP. This is a basic, like man 101 question I never learned growing up after being successful at hookups from high school through college.

While I have been seeing gainz as I swallow the pill, we recently had a minor event filled with comfort tests about how we never go on dates. She (25, LTR) is my (26) only real relationship and we've been dating for 4 years.

Before her I was just a hookup kinda guy and never really took anyone on a date besides maybe the movies or some dinner. I guess I never even called them dates, just "let's eat out, then we'll go party"

Well, cue comfort tests where she told me she feels like i just treat her like a room mate that I have sex with and not really as a girlfriend. We've lived together the entire time, almost. I'm under the impression that if we go out together for dinner or outdoorsy stuff or whatever, it's pretty much a date. I'm realizing that might be incorrect.

So guys, how do I make it clear that it's a date? Perhaps it's as simple as saying "we're going on a date to 'x' festival Thursday, dress skimpy" instead of how I have been saying "hey, let's go to 'x' festival thursday"? I know this is really basic, it's embarrassing honestly.
